Sweet but slightly cloying
Xerjoff Naxos belongs in the sweet but slightly cloying group of tobacco fragrances that seems to have been inspired by the success of Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille or Mugler’s Pure Havane. Not to say Naxos is a clone or even similar, I actually prefer Naxos out of these. There is some light freshness at the top from the bergamot and lemon but it quickly settles to a pleasant tobacco-honey-vanilla base. It has great sillage and performance, just watch out not to overspray.

Tobacco Maniac
Theodoros Kalotinis Tobacco Maniac is my first fragrance from this house. I got it blind based on numerous reviews, thinking it would suit my tastes as I generally like tobacco fragrances. It starts off very spicy, I would say too spicy but after a while it calms down to a more manageable level. There is some sweetness present from the vanilla and honey but as a whole, the fragrance is quite dry. The illusion of tobacco is quite realistic but even as someone who likes tobacco in fragrances, it’s maybe too much.

Spicy barbershop
This inexpensive perfume comes in two variations, EDT and EDP. I find the EDP better of the two, though the EDT is not much different. It has more pronounced cinnamon, it’s spicier and maybe more masculine as well. It walks perfectly the line between oldschool barbershop fragrance and more modern fragrance but I’m sure this is not for everyone. I am not familiar with current formulations but my bottle from a decade ago is quite long lasting.

Smell of circus
Dzing! was supposed to smell like a circus, it does have an animalic edge to it but it is however a pleasant scent to wear. You could say it’s a woody leathery vanilla and it’s not too overpowering so it can be worn every day. It is very creative but perhaps more interesting as a concept. Sadly it’s apparently not in production any more.
