For Marshmallow Lovers
On me, this opens with an absolutely luscious sweet cream note, so cozy. I wish it lasted a little longer, but the marshmallow develops very quickly. It is a very realistic marshmallow, sweet, fluffy, not to heavy. This was a solinote on me for a long time. I really didn't get any noticeable musk, just a bit of powder with the marshmallow. I found it a bit dull, but if you love marshmallow, you might love it. Still, this is not a linear fragrance. The tonka and mahogany notes bring a richness and depth to the fragrance. On me, it turned into a very strong pipe tobacco accord, which some people would absolutely love, but it's not for me. I do appreciate how this develops on my skin, and I think it is well done.

The fragrance lasts for hours, and be careful applying because the projection is monster strong. My husband came in from another room to ask if I was smoking a pipe! Although some people think this leans feminine, but I disagree. I found the dry down rather masculine, which is fine with me. I think anyone who likes marshmallow should at least test this, but it is not a good idea to blind buy.

Lava?
This didn't really live up to expectations. On me, this is a indolic floral with a bit of spice, which is very pretty, but there isn't a hint of lava. I didn't find it especially smoky either. The listed notes don't include any indolic white flowers, but I could swear they were there.

I do like the way the vanilla and nutmeg are done here. I think Dr. Covey showed a deft touch with the spices. Along with the florals, it is just a gorgeous combo. The Frankincense is a good fit for the florals and spices.

I was disappointed in the longevity of my first two tests, lasting barely four hours. It may perform better when it's more humid. It did seem rather linear. The florals hold center stage throughout the life of the fragrance.

Finally, this is highly subjective, of course, but this doesn't strike me as a unisex fragrance. It leans very feminine, but that is just my perception. Anyone who likes sweet, spicy florals might love this. All told, it's nice, but as florals go, it's a bit run-of-the-mill. I'll have fun with my mini, but I won't purchase it again.

Please forgive reporting, but like a total derp, I posted this review under the wrong Olympic Orchids scent.

Metallic Blood
I hope I don't offend anyone, but I did not like this fragrance at all. Some folks have claimed rather extreme reactions, like vomiting, but my experience was far less dramatic. The metallic blood note, on me, does not fade into anything but more metallic blood along with sweet and salty milk, which gave the impression of spoiled milk + blood. Horrible. I almost scrubbed it off, but the powdery nature of the drydown was a bit more wearable. I didn't find the drydown very pleasant though. I'm glad there are people who enjoy this fragrance. It dispels my disgust at what I thought was pure gimmick, and renews my faith in ELdO. Still, if someone wearing this sits by me and the fragrance smells like it did on me, I'm spraying mace as a counter-irritant.

Overdue Review
As usual, I'm late to the party on this fragrance. Recently, I got a small bottle for a very low price to satisfy my curiosity, mild as it was. I have to admit my enjoyment of this fragrance is very dependent on the kind of "fun factor" of this smelling a bit different on everyone.

On me, this is a soft, warm, slightly sweet woody note, similar to sandalwood and remains totally linear. On my husband, this opens with a green, almost citrus scent, which settles into a vaguely aromatic, cedar-like scent. I asked some friends to try it, and they obliged. On one, it's very ambery; on another, it's almost exactly the same as it is on me and for the third, unfortunately, pencil shavings.

I like the scent on me. It's soft and relaxing but with very intimate sillage. I like the fact that it's perfectly unisex. I tend to only wear it around the house or too add something to other fragrances (it does seem to improve longevity), and I doubt I'll ever purchase it again.

DEFINITELY not a good blind buy due to the pencil shaving lottery. I do recommend getting a sample and having some fun, although only if you find it for a good price. It's too expensive for what it is, IMO. On me, it lasts 4-5 hours and maybe 4 hours on my husband. The projection on all testers was very intimate, with no sillage at all.

Peaches!
One of the things I like about the Jimmy Choo fragrances is the fruit notes are very realistic on me. The peach note is gorgeous. It's very fresh, not jammy or overripe. The mandarin brings a bit of sourness, preventing the opening from being cloying, but this is a very sweet fragrance. I like the jasmine, but what I really like is how noticeable the lily is in this fragrance. On me, lily often gets drowned out by other floral or fruity notes.
The peach note remains throughout the life of the fragrance, which is substantial- over 12 hours in cool, dry weather.

This isn't a completely linear fragrance on me, in spite of how long the peach note lasts. The drydown is very pretty. I love the balsamic note. The peach/vanilla combo is very gourmand, although I wouldn't class this fragrance as a gourmand. I do think it would appeal to folks who like gourmands.

I think this has the advantage of being a vanilla (gourmand-ish) scent that is lovely in the heat, albeit with minimal sprays because projection and sillage are *strong*, and it will also work as a floral scent in cold weather. IWC is appropriate for a lot of different occasions and for anyone who likes feminine-leaning (IMO) fragrances, aged 12-102.
