The First Compliment
I NEVER get compliments about or inquiries regarding my scent. The last comment was about 15 years ago.
Until
Idôle came along.
A very good friend, who knows my passion, said "you could easily seduce me with that!" - but I didn't intend to with him... however, the next day I definitely did with someone else ;) and even there, amidst all the passion, came the remark "you smell soooo good!"
Telling.
I don't feel like it every day, but it is indeed very versatile. But fundamentally, I tend to prefer sweeter/powdery scents.
For about 300 days a year, it fits wonderfully.
Since you can practically smell this fragrance everywhere, I let myself be carried away this time to tell a story instead of providing a helpful scent description.
Enjoy! ;-)

Super P/L
opens fresh, zesty (not citrusy!), pepper moderately noticeable
from the drydown it becomes warmer and softer and caresses.
I have always liked the original, but this one is just as good.
From the drydown, it also reminds me of
La Vie est Belle Rose Extraordinaire - however, the latter is a bit more powdery and the musk comes across fresher.
Successful fragrance, bottle simple, spray good.

Soft, warm, herb-sweet, elegant rose
I have been eagerly awaiting this new flanker. Now it has been mine for a few days, and I have thoroughly tested it and - fallen in love!
First of all - I spontaneously gave it a 9 for the scent. I am raising it to 10. It will surely be my most worn fragrance in the coming months.
It is my favorite LVEB version!
It sits between
La Vie est Belle en Rose and
La Vie est Belle Intensément.
It is more "binding" than
La Vie est Belle en Rose.
It is less present and much more pleasing than
La Vie est Belle Intensément.
On the other hand,
La Vie est Belle L'Eau de Parfum is significantly more praline-like, edgier, and "special" than this one.
Here is its progression:
It opens very fresh, slightly green, but above all modern-rosy. This lasts on my skin for about 20 minutes.
Then the typical LVEB DNA comes through, but much less praline-like, for about 1 hour. The rose remains.
After that, a wonderful, soft, sweet-cloudy, slightly herbaceous (raspberry?) musk fluff lingers. This fluff lasts on me for up to 10 hours, but increasingly close to the skin. The rose lasts about 5 hours. After that, I definitely get some Nivea vibes. Occasionally, a very subtle smoky note comes to my nose. But really just very subtly...
Overall, it has moderate sillage. This lasts for about 2 hours, after which you have to get VERY close to really smell it. I find that totally pleasant because I want to smell like myself, but not overwhelm others. But I do want to be noticed a little. :) Perfect for me!
What remains after 5 hours can be beautifully layered if you want something different for the evening - or you can reapply, because this scent always works!
It works for any season, although I believe I will reach for "cozier, spicier" scents (e.g.
Sì (2023) Eau de Parfum Intense) in the fall. Even on really hot days, I can imagine reaching for something else, we'll see.
I would like to
a. promote it everywhere so that it stays in the lineup for a long time, but at the same time
b. actually just keep it for myself!
I have a strong suspicion that this will be my signature scent and I look forward to the opinions that will gather here in the near future.
I have already layered or sprayed it side by side (upper arm/lower arm) with
White Tea Eau de Parfum - I find that a great combo, a bit fresher than just alone. I also found
Signature Eau de Parfum at another body spot to be a great complement, but I will probably test that again in the fall, as it feels too "cozy" for now.
La vie est belle, douce, florale, joyeuse - et légèrement plaisante!
--------> Enjoy it, my dears.
PS. I find the bottle of the OG okay, but boring. I like this one much more! But of course, starting from 50ml, it is just as unwieldy...

Delicate, sweet raspberry cloud for every day
Purchased at the red drugstore, on sale for 8.49. The orange M also carries it.
This fragrance is very delicate on my skin, just as the ribbon on the bottle suggests. It opens with a berry-sweet note, with slight green impressions, which become floral (freesia, peony) after about 10 minutes. It is very gentle and unobtrusive, yet wonderfully rounded. The raspberry lasts over 3 hours into the base. Vanilla and caramel hardly come through, but surely provide the warmth that the fragrance brings despite its sprightliness.
The sillage is not extreme, but 3 hours after application it was still perceptible over the table (when gesturing). On clothing, it lasts longer (up to 24 hours), so I usually spritz some on my scarf to keep it in my nose longer.
The longevity is okay for me (P/L). The bottle is small and to be honest, I do love reapplying; the act of misting is fun for me. However, under 2 hours of longevity can be annoying.
I find it most suitable for a spring day when the first cherry blossoms bloom. I will definitely wear it all summer long. In autumn, it will probably take a break, but now in winter, I actually find it quite fitting as well.
It vaguely reminds me of "Miss Dior (2021) (Eau de Parfum) | Dior," it is similarly delicate and cloud-like, but of course with raspberry on top. This raspberry and the green in the opening remind me of "La Vie est Belle Rose Extraordinaire | Lancôme." The powdery aspect connects all three.
For me, a drugstore hidden gem (I find most of them either boring or terrible).
