Looks AND smells beautiful
I was gifted this for my birthday after longing for it for a while. This is like the lighter and younger version Tom Ford - Lost Cherry because it’s less thick and more fresh. I personally don’t smell the pepper note as much but it’s a light but long lasting cherry scent. The bottle is so so lovely and comes in a lilac cushion box that is red inside, feels like the cartier packaging of perfume. Love her.
Rosey elegance
I'd say that I prefer to wear this on days I want to dress up more formally e.g. important clients. It makes the overall look feel very elegant and the rose note is very apparent but not in a suffocating way as it feels more fresh than thick. It is what I would call a western oud as it doesn't exactly have the same intensity as Middle Eastern ouds that you can pick up from Qatar or Oman but I would say it's nice to have an in-between sometimes.
Let it sit on your skin and see
As the title says, I think this is. scent you definitely cannot judge based on a spritz. Upon first spray you're hit with a sweet vanilla scent that I enjoy but then it sits and the pepper notes come through much more. So for those not a fan of pepper notes, this may not be for you! I think to think it's a perfect daily scent for the winter especially if you want to be the office siren. She's sexy but she's elegant. She's mature but she's fun. A little also goes a long long way which is always appreciated with a scent you like.
It's special for a reason
Coming from a culture where saffron is heavily used, I personally love it as a note in perfume and I think baccarat rouge captures it perfectly. It sits beautifully on the skin, in a sweet yet not overbearing way. It's smooth and warm like a delicious saffron drink. I think it's best for warmer seasons but it layers very well too with a spicier scent making a sexy concoction for winter.
