Cherry oud is the name for a reason!
Cherry oud is one of my favorite scents from Guerlain because it is truly amazing. Im not really a cherry lover but this perfume changed my whole perspective on the note. The cherry is really smooth and sweet which was really to my liking and the "oud" gives it a good stronger base also. Florals as rose also makes the perfume really amazing. Sadly a high price but i can actually justify it. Great scent from Guerlain!

Beautiful unisex rich upscale cherry
The deft hand with the tart cherry, fleeting sweetness, and rose combined with subtle pleasant oud is as classy as one can imagine. It's simple, somewhat subtle, and sublime. The cherry in this reminds me of a higher quality version of the cherry used in lhomme ideal edp. This is actually a simpler fragrance than the designer beauty, but the quality difference and blend here is obvious. Sometimes cherry can come across as cough syrup, but this does not. The oud is light, woody, beautiful.

A Surprising Stunner
What appears to be one of the more devise fragrances to come from L'Art & La Matière, Cherry Oud was one I approached with apprehension, but I am happy to report that it is actually quite wonderful stuff! The combination of somewhat animalic and smoky oud, leather, tart cherries and rose is not one that I would expected to have worked so well, but they flow together like a fine wine. The cherry here is extremely tart, juicy and sweet, and almost gives the feeling of eating a sour cherry. The rose and leather work against each other in a way, with the rose providing a bit of balance between the harshness of the leather and oud. And speaking of oud, while I do not profess to be an oud expert, I think the oud note here is quite well composed. It has a slight animalic tinge alongside of some dense smokiness, but it never feels excessive or overpowering like some oud notes can be. All in all, the combination of notes and ingredients here really creates a great example of contrast, and how different notes work with and against each other to achieve beauty.

Cherry Oud is undoubtedly one of Delphine Jelk's more audacious compositions, but it's one that works immensely well, and frankly deserves more attention than it gets. Divisive fragrances like this one are necessities within the fragrance industry. They keep things fresh and unique, providing different insight into notes and compositions that we have not yet seen to keep things from getting stagnant. Cherry Oud does very well at this, and it will certainly be added to my list of future full bottles.

Love at first sniff - a sensual masterpiece
I recently blind bought Guerlain’s Cherry Oud, and let me tell you - it was love at first sniff. From the very first spritz, this fragrance felt like a masterpiece. It’s elegant, sophisticated, and undeniably sensual, with a depth that immediately drew me in.

The opening was a surprise for me. While the notes don’t list raspberry, that’s exactly what I smelled at first - a juicy, slightly tart raspberry note. It wasn’t overly sweet or cloying; instead, it was perfectly balanced with the oud, which added a rich, woody warmth. The combination was intoxicating, and I couldn’t stop sniffing my wrist.

As the fragrance settled, the rose emerged, and it was blended so seamlessly that it felt like a natural progression. The rose didn’t overpower the raspberry or oud but instead complemented them, adding a soft, velvety floral touch that elevated the entire composition. It felt like every note was in perfect harmony, creating a scent that was both bold and refined.

What impressed me most was the longevity. Cherry Oud stayed with me for hours, both on my skin and clothes, without losing its "character". It didn’t change drastically throughout the day, which I appreciated - it remained consistently beautiful from the first spray.

This fragrance is a 10/10 for me. It’s everything I look for in a perfume: unique, well-balanced, memorable and with OUD note - I love oud in every Guerlain perfume that I tried. It’s the kind of scent that makes you feel confident and alluring, and I can already tell the bottle will be gone very fast! If you’re consider buying Cherry Oud, don’t hesitate - it’s worth every penny.

Cherry Echo
While one might expect the sweet, tart punch of cherry to dominate, it’s the oud and leather that truly take center stage, leaving the cherry to linger in the background.

The leather, rich and smoky, pairs seamlessly with the oud, creating a bold, almost assertive character, not too animalic but still intriguing in its depth. The cherry, however, struggles to assert itself. Its presence is subtle, almost too subtle for my personal taste, overshadowed by the intensity of the other notes.

This fragrance remains pleasant, but for those hoping for a true cherry-forward scent, it may leave you wanting more.

A masculine fruity rose oud. Woody leathery and spicy notes help to bring the fruity and floral more center. Beautifully constructed!

Cherry is too weak, it's barely there, the scent is a very simple leather w/ a mild Oud. The most boring of LAelM, not attractive. Masculine

Fizzy cherry cola with funky oud & leather, followed by a powdery lipstick-y rose on a classic Guerlain base. La Petite Robe Noire plus oud.

I like this. More smoky than it is fruity. Very little cherry, smoke remains. All that said, it smells a bit like an old band aid.

Cherries clash with oud and leather to create a medicinal opening, which dries off more floral. It's okay, medicine isn't for me though.

I normally like cherry, but the cherry here is medicinal and the most prominent note. The oud is an afterthought.

Animalistic leather blended with cherry; to me, they kinda fight with each other. The cherry does not lean into cough syrup territory like most do imo

A less intense Cuir Intense (also Guerlain) with a cherry opening. I was hoping the cherry lasted longer but it's gone in about 15 mins.

Fruity-sweet cherry drips on dark woodiness and rose petals. Not too sultry, velvety leather in the background. Airy delicious.
