Pretty unspectacular...
...that's how you could describe "Milky Musk/39". That's what it really is and that may sound negative for some, but I like it very much just because of that. Whole two fragrance notes gives the pyramid, sandalwood and musk, and probably lets the one or the other Parfumo only tired yawn.

In the top note, I am surprised by a very authentic, dry cedar wood, with which I did not expect, but which I like. This also comes about at least something like a scent progression, because after a while, the fragrance becomes increasingly creamy and it develops a quite wonderful sandalwood. This lasts on me for several hours unchanged until the musk base then shows itself. This is also present again for several hours, fluffy, almost a little powdery and with a very slightly metallic, but not unpleasant note.
Amazingly durable it is on me with a good twelve hours, with initially medium, towards the end rather skin sillage. Citrus notes, spices, flowers or fruits you look in vain here and who wants complex pyramids or fragrances with the special twist, is also wrong here. So why do I like this unspectacular "threesome" of base notes so much then? There are days when I need just such a fragrance. One that envelops me and doesn't distract, without excitement or surprises. Then I love its clear course, its predictability and its straightforwardness.
I don't find the name quite as aptly chosen, as I don't find it milky at any point. Also, for me, sandalwood rather than musk is the main protagonist of the fragrance, but that's just on the side. I think it's great and it could well be that "Milky Musk/39" may move in with me at some point.

Particularly successful - successful particularly
In spring, birch water is traditionally extracted from the trunks of the birch trees, which is said to have a positive effect on health. It is said to contain many vitamins and minerals and, when drunk as a cure, has a detoxifying, vitalising and invigorating effect. Also in the sauna, as Wenik Aufguss, the birch promotes the well-being.

We come first, however, to the fragrance.
He starts fresh-green and juicy, slightly tart and almost a little bitter with citrus accompaniment. After about twenty minutes, a creamy sillage emerges, which is actually somewhat reminiscent of green figs and can only be smelled at a distance, on the skin remains the green bitterness. In the heart note, rather than the florals listed, I would have guessed violet. This light floral note gives the fragrance something lovely, delicate without becoming dominant and also does not overpower the green, fresh main components, only the citrus note has completely withdrawn. Towards the base, the scent then doesn't change much for me, but after three hours it becomes increasingly skin-toned and the vetiver peeks through. The other base notes I can not pull out in detail but the fragrance now gets a touch of soapiness which is not at all unpleasant. The fragrance exudes freshness and lightness, like birch trees in springtime, their green leaves shining in the sun and moved by the wind. I find him very successful, somehow also very special but thereby completely uncomplicated and can not imagine that he is perceived by anyone as unpleasant.

What now has the fragrance, apart from the name, to do with the birch, or why did I have to think directly of the birch water? I feel him as refreshing, invigorating and vitalizing, he combines for me all the properties that are attributed to the birch water and who knows, maybe he also has a positive effect on your health.

Cedars in the sunlight
Yes, a strange headline, but that is my first association. The fragrance has a radiant brightness, like shimmering, clean air with a hint of cedar wood which, warmed by the sun, unfolds its scent.

I have to agree with the previous speaker, the opening is a bit sharp. This is probably due to the double dose of pepper, which is but quickly evaporated and then only a gentle and pleasant spice contributes.
After that, I smell a slightly fruity note, I do not know if that is the pink pepper, from the listed flowers, however, I can sniff far and wide nothing. Instead, an incredible dryness arises in the heart note, you could almost think there is some juniper in the game, but not dominant, the cedar wood always remains the main actor, is rather emphasized by this dryness and even more present. In the base discreetly joins some musk, gives the cedar something juicy and soft and underlines the warm character of the fragrance.

A little bit it reminds me of Super Cedar by Byredo, without its smoky note, or even Molecule 01 or other ISO-E super fragrances, only that Le Cèdre comes across much more natural and tangible. I can practically see the cedars in front of me here, hear the branches crack under my feet, and feel the warm sun at my back. What he has in common with the aforementioned fragrances, however, is a certain brightness, something radiant, which I can not describe differently.

The durability is good, I can perceive him a good 12 hours on me. Sillage I would estimate in the midfield, is difficult to test at the moment, but in no way room-filling.
Conclusion: woody, bright, clean, warm and very natural. If you like this scent, definitely test!

Fresh, green, different...
In search of the perfect sandalwood fragrance, I eventually landed at Santal du Pacifique. Perris Monte Carlo was completely unknown to me as a brand and I was very excited to test it, because the pyramid also made me curious. In many fragrances, sandalwood is accompanied by strong spices or by very sweet vanilla, which sometimes spoils it for me.
The start is unusually fresh for a woody-creamy fragrance, almost seems a bit aquatic but not in a negative sense. I guess the listed carrot, which I perceive as such at most very alienated, but which creates a fresh, green unsweetness. After the fresh opening, the scent progression is rather linear, as described by the previous speaker. I perceive the creamy notes well, slightly coconutty and also completely unsweet. The floral notes, as well as musk I can not smell out in detail, they are harmoniously matched and support the overall picture. Sandalwood remains then, with the woods in the background, until the drydown the main actor and holds the perfect balance between dryness and creaminess.
Conclusion: a really pleasant, different sandalwood fragrance, which is very interesting, but does not quite offer what I was looking for. Who is looking for a completely unsweet, fresh and unseasoned fragrance, should try the times! Durability and sillage I see in the upper midfield.

Adequate CEO
What do you expect when you hear the term CEO? At least I expect something powerful, something that really makes an impression. This is not the case with Vanilla CEO, yet it is a successful fragrance in which vanilla is at least the focus of attention.
In the prelude, accompanied by citric notes and flowers, which however remain very much in the background, it starts fresh and almost a bit spicy. Vanilla is quickly added and remains very pleasantly creamy until the end, rounded off by the, now only light, citrus notes and a woody, cuddly base.
I would describe him as an all-rounder, this CEO, he has a little bit of everything and not too much of anything.
It is fresh but not freshie, it is spicy-vanilla but not gourmand, it is sweet, that for sure, but not carton sweet, like many other vanilla scents. All in all a very successful fragrance that fits in every season and every age group. One could accuse him of lacking a little edge, this CEO that he is too soft, too pleasing. The Sillage is only skin-tight after two hours, the shelf life is about five hours for me. But you forgive him for that because he is so beautiful and so nice, doesn't bother you at all and you just have to like him!
