Cedars in the sunlight
Yes, a strange headline, but that is my first association. The fragrance has a radiant brightness, like shimmering, clean air with a hint of cedar wood which, warmed by the sun, unfolds its scent.
I have to agree with the previous speaker, the opening is a bit sharp. This is probably due to the double dose of pepper, which is but quickly evaporated and then only a gentle and pleasant spice contributes.
After that, I smell a slightly fruity note, I do not know if that is the pink pepper, from the listed flowers, however, I can sniff far and wide nothing. Instead, an incredible dryness arises in the heart note, you could almost think there is some juniper in the game, but not dominant, the cedar wood always remains the main actor, is rather emphasized by this dryness and even more present. In the base discreetly joins some musk, gives the cedar something juicy and soft and underlines the warm character of the fragrance.
A little bit it reminds me of Super Cedar by Byredo, without its smoky note, or even Molecule 01 or other ISO-E super fragrances, only that Le Cèdre comes across much more natural and tangible.
