...and sometimes just too much for me. I saved up for this fragrance for a long time. On many days, it is just right. Velvety, floral - the perfection of floral and sweet notes. Just typical Amouage. Performance is of course top-notch and the sillage is equally impressive. And very rarely, it can indeed be too much. Truly a performance monster. But a very charming one.

On recommendation, I bought this fragrance. Inexpensive and a candidate for a "blind buy." No disappointment, instead a great love. It is very close to the skin and probably less perceivable by others from a distance.

The mandarin at the beginning is definitely there, then I quickly notice the coriander, the ginger, and also the lovely pepper. I am particularly taken with the pepper. Very pleasant. A fresh yet somewhat powdery-creamy scent that manages without heliotrope and iris. Rare.

The bottle is of course beautifully made and the packaging is just great! Also very nice for gifting!

I received the scent as a small sample. Right after spraying it on, I had a bitter orange in my nose, which is not listed among the notes. This impression quickly fades and the other notes emerge. The powdery aspect of the iris is definitely present, and then there’s something creamy-fine that I can’t quite place. In any case, the leather is clearly perceptible. All in all, I would give it the title "Oriental Day Cream." I can easily imagine layering it with something citrusy...

After spraying, vanilla, almonds, and also something fruity can be smelled... whether that is what was mentioned above, I cannot say for the life of me. I have also read in many places that it is supposed to smell like roasted almonds - sometimes I spray it on and think "yes exactly" and other times I see it quite differently. In any case, I perceive the scent as a subtle gourmand that quickly loses its impact. After 3 hours, I would say there is hardly anything left. On clothing, it lasts slightly longer. If you have some money to spare, want a nice bottle, and a gentle gourmand, then this is the right choice.

This fragrance is a total work of art for me. Bottle, scent, name, color of the juice... everything fits perfectly together and there is no mistaking it.
The scent starts in my nose with a waxy note, closely followed by soft leather, and the iris is also right on its heels. The development is wonderful and exciting. However, the fragrance remains gentle, understated, and yet distinctly perceptible the whole time. For me, it's a lovely business scent. Blazer, blouse, jeans or dress pants... paired with a laptop bag and a scarf. Uncomplicated yet determined - that's the woman who wears this fragrance in my mind's eye.
For the sake of completeness, I should add: This fragrance is said to be a worthy brother to "Lipstick" by Maison Margiela from the Replica line.
