I bought this fragrance on recommendation. Cheap and a candidate for a "blind buy". No disappointment instead great love. Is very close to the skin and probably from third parties at a distance rather less perceptible.

The tangerine at the beginning is definitely there, then I take quite quickly the coriander, the ginger and also the beautiful pepper was. Especially from the pepper I am taken. Very pleasant. A fresh some also powdery creamy fragrance, but without heliotrope and iris. Rare.

The bottle is of course great made and the packaging only! Also very nice to give away!

I received the fragrance as a small sample. Immediately after spraying it on, I had a bitter orange in my nose, although this is not listed in the notes. This impression quickly fades and the other notes emerge. The powdery iris is clear and then there's something creamy and subtle that I can't place. In any case, the leather is clearly perceptible. All in all, I would give it the title "Oriental Day Cream". I could well imagine layering it with something citrusy...

After spraying on are vanilla, almonds and also something fruity to smell...whether these are the above, I can not say for the life of me. I have also read in many places that it should smell like roasted almonds - sometimes I spray it on and denkan "yes exactly" and other times I see it quite differently. In any case, I find the fragrance to be a restrained gourmand that quickly loses its impact. After 3 hours I would say there is hardly anything left. On the clothes he holds insignificantly longer. Who has some money left over, a beautiful bottle and a gentle gourmand wants, which is right here.

This fragrance is a total work of art for me. Flacon, fragrance, name, color of the Jus.... everything fits together perfectly and there is no mistaking.
The fragrance starts in my nose with a waxy note, closely followed by soft leather and the iris is also close on its heels. The development is great and exciting. However, the fragrance remains gentle, restrained and yet clearly perceptible all the time. For me, a nice business fragrance. Blazer, blouse, jeans or cloth pants...plus a laptop bag and a scarf. Uncomplicated but still determined - so is the woman who wears this fragrance in front of my inner eye.
For the sake of completeness still the erganz: This fragrance is to be a worthy brother to "Lipstick" by Maison Margiela from the Replica series.

Yes, I admit it - I wear some fragrances especially at bedtime and this is one of them. Okay, in summer it's not allowed in bed with me, but now in winter it's time again! The scent of "By the Fireplace" really helps me fall asleep. I spray it on, lie down and watch how it develops and Zack.... fall asleep
Like many others here, I also smell wood, on which some vanilla evaporates with relish...the clove and the delicacy of the cashmeran can also be felt as it develops. A classic...for me for the night, but certainly also something for the day!
