The opening feels to me like a sugared iris, close to the LVEB DNA - it reminds me of gummy bears with floral and earthy tones. I had hoped for a slightly powdery musk vanilla scent, but I find Vanilla Nude neither musky, strongly vanillic, nor nude. The scent reminds me much more of a drugstore deodorant aimed at 12-15 year old girls: sweet, indefinably fruity, indefinably floral - although I don't smell any flowers, just synthetic notes that remind me of neither a fruit nor a flower.

What a shame.

I like many scents from the Replica line, and Afternoon Delight was a successful blind buy. Contrary to expectations, it starts like a fresh summer breeze (feeling somewhat similar to Beach Walk). If sun rays on a sunny spring morning in Paris had a scent, it would be this one. A very nice clear and not too cool or scratchy musk opens this fragrance on my skin. A slightly nutty bitter almond (and it is really bitter), along with a delicate hint of Madeleine (such a lovely cake base/pastry scent mhhh) comes to my nose. Probably the lightest and airiest gourmand on the market. Your Skin but better - interpreted by a French patisserie.

For me, the most difficult scent I have ever had in my nose. How should I describe this fragrance? It feels both light and heavy at the same time, like nothing but then again something. I don’t find it floral. Much more, it reminds me of a green dusty cactus standing in the hot desert sun. Around it, only reddish, dusty stone desert. I smell the cactus and this scent is somehow dry. I also smell a flower. Is it a white, barely fragrant flower of this cactus? Along with that, there is a woody green note. Is that from the cactus? I keep smelling... in the distance, there is something bitter-citrusy, like a lemon peel. Strange scent. However, the name fits perfectly. It really is like extraterrestrial...
