This is everything that was missing in the original in my opinion
I always felt like such a weirdo, when the original Libre wasn't my fav, I didn't hate it, it just wasn't me. Even the intense one. I am not the biggest vanilla girl, but something about this is just so well balanced. It smells expensive and floral and not heavy. The bottle is stunning oh my days it is gorg and i like this perfume a lot girl.

Love the entire Libre line including this
I love everything in the Libre line - Le Parfum is my favorite. I will say that to me, they all smell largely the same. Le Parfum is just more syrupy and intense.
I love vanilla as well and fully expected Vanilla Couture to be my favorite. I like it a lot but honestly I do not smell a huge difference from the rest of the line.
For me, VC seems a touch more blended and smooth. But I don't get a strong vanilla, and in a line up, I'm not convinced I could distinguish between this and some of the others. I suspect the lavender/orange blossom combo is so overpowering that my nose doesn't pick up on nuances between the flankers.
That said, I really like this, it has great longevity, it smells pretty and sexy. Lovely date night perfume.

A Deeper, More Resinous/Mature Version of Black Opium Le Parfum
Unfortunately this is a scrubber for me. The only good thing is this perfume is that it is so hard to get that I only bought a 10ml decant.

After sampling the OG Libre and not really enjoying it, and then hearing that this flanker was very different, I had high hopes. After all, some of my favorites are Escapade Gourmande, Vanilla Dust, Bianco Latte, Changing Constance, RDF Green Vanille and English Major. So, it's safe to say, I like vanilla and I know my vanillas very well.

This is an incredibly resinous vanilla, almost like burnt caramel but not in a cute way. It's a very mature fragrance, which a lot of people like. However, if you are more of a gourmand girlie or into the sweeter scents, definitely try before you buy. I actually think it smells like a deeper, more "perfumey" version of YSL Black Opium LE PARFUM. So, the vanilla one. But, I prefer the Black Opium Le Parfum over this flanker.

Not a flanker
The apple has fallen far from the tree. The fragrance is silky-smooth, wrapped in creamy vanilla. It feels warm, cozy, and comforting. Lavender is only subtly perceptible—perhaps as much through expectation as through presence. The rum accords are equally smoothed out, lending the composition a touch of weight and depth. Like the original, it offers long-lasting performance, yet wears far more intimately. It could easily stand on its own as a new creation rather than a flanker of Libre.

Libre has been tamed
I was very curious about this new flanker in the beautiful bottle.

The typical Libre DNA is recognizable here as well, just significantly simplified.
The orange blossom has been toned down considerably, and the lavender is also much more restrained than in the predecessors.

During the first half hour, Libre Vanille Couture evokes the least from all the flankers in the series for me.
Familiar yet different, it feels a bit too arbitrary. Hm...

Once the opening settles, the new promised twist becomes apparent.
A vanilla that beautifully shifts between soft sweet and warm soft.

I don't catch any rum in my nose.
Too bad, I could have imagined a well-crafted boozy touch as an exciting variant for cold winter evenings and fancy occasions.
On the other hand, Libre Vanille Couture thus avoids drifting into the more gourmand territory and can maintain the more mature aura of its predecessors.

Overall, the fragrance becomes significantly more harmonious from this point on, gaining a snug quality that I can particularly envision for the colder months.

So, is it a new candidate for purchase?
I love the Libre line mainly for its rather "edgy" DNA, the interplay of cool and warm, bossy and feminine.

This somewhat gets lost in "Libre Vanille Couture | Yves Saint Laurent," which is why the fragrance will probably not replace my favorite variant "Libre Le Parfum | Yves Saint Laurent," which it actually comes closest to for me.

For anyone who already has one of its sisters in their closet, it’s probably not a revelation, but still nicely done and worth a test.
Even those who found the predecessors perhaps too harsh might find happiness with this toned-down version.

Creamy, cozy floral vanilla scent. Unfortunately for me it feels a bit too soapy and lacks a bit of depth.

It’s a lovely flanker, but the orange blossom overpowers it all. I’m still of the opinion L’absolu Platine is the best Libre!

The freshness of the original with the vanilla richness of the Intense version. An easy wear for the fall and winter.

Doesn’t have the obnoxious sharpness that was in the original so at least that’s an improvement.

Not much left from og, Orange B. + Lavender r tamed and stay under Vanilla blanket. A bit better quality than the average designer Vanillas.

The apple has fallen far from the tree. The fragrance is silky-smooth, wrapped in creamy vanilla, this could be a new perfume not a flanker.

Smells kind of like Libre and Good Girl Supreme had a baby to me.

Sweet orangey creamsicle kinda vibe (but not sickeningly sweet as the floral balances the rest out). I really like this, very wearable.

Surprisingly good.
Applies well, doesn't evaporate immediately, and the lavender adds a nice touch.

Good flanker of good original. Cozy and comforting, but not very original (which is not necessary bad). Like others said - easy wear.
