Vanilla perfume: but is it still okay to say vanilla?
At the beginning, I found the fragrance extremely unpleasant. I was literally overwhelmed by a penetrating wave of synthetic vanilla, which immediately combined with the all-too-familiar, sweet cloud of perfume from La Vie est Belle. It's scratchy, biting and unpleasantly sweet in a strange way - almost artificial and too overpowering.
But the whole thing calms down after a while. The drydown is much more pleasant and reminds me of the limited-edition Vanilla Marshmallow collection from The Body Shop - albeit a little more floral. An indefinable fruity note also resonates and therefore remains diffuse and difficult to grasp. Overall, it is sweet, vanilla-like, creamy and yet clearly synthetic.
Conclusion: It is not a total failure, but also far from a highlight. In view of the multitude of better composed vanilla perfumes on the market, this fragrance remains rather below average for me.
