Very flowery - or not?
I've only tested a few Xerjoffs and Casamoratis so far, but none of them were flowery. I thought they just didn't care for flowers, but now I've acquired a sample of Quattro Pizzi. At first I thought it smelled like lily of the valley, but it's supposed to be davana and tuberose. But it doesn't last long, then I notice more tobacco and rum. Almost a little tart, but not for long, then the tonka bean asserts itself and gives the impression a little more sweetness.

I don't get the coconut, rather I think I sense a certain almond note. That's why it doesn't have beach vibes for me. More like a sunny spring day on Lake Garda, where it's green and blooming. With a vanilla gelato, maybe even coconut ice cream(?)

But I'm also sitting on my terrace while testing it, the sun is shining and I'm not quite sure whether I'm just smelling the perfume or the neighbor's flowers too ... But it's undoubtedly a very beautiful, cuddly fragrance for the sunny season.

Fruity-sweet (non-alcoholic) cocktail - with umbrella!
Of course, I also tried Lattafa and co after I discovered my interest in perfumes. However, my relationship with Arabic fragrances never really took off. Most of the ones I've tried are okay, but there's always something synthetic in them that stops me from wanting to use them. That's how I felt with Liam, Amber Oud Gold and a few others.
Yara, however, has made it permanently into my humble collection with its chunky-squeaky appearance. A little marshmallow and candy floss, fruits of all kinds, tropical, strawberry (the way wild strawberries taste). The flowers can only be guessed at, vanilla is also more in sugar form, I don't get sandalwood and musk.
In its entirety, "Yara | Lattafa / لطافة" is simply a feel-good fragrance for me, which is certainly not elegant or special, but still doesn't seem too cheap. When I want something sweet, it's just right for me.
H/S is not outstanding, but for a little over 20 euros it doesn't have to be - you just spray it a few times more!

Surprisingly pleasant
Admittedly, I hesitated to try Grand Soir on myself after my "flop" with Baccarat Rouge, which I didn't like at all. On the test strip, it didn't make a good impression on me at all. It had something old-fashioned about it that I personally associate with grandpa's aftershave. But the feeling was also a bit deliberately suave: look, I have money and I spend it on expensive cars, Cuban cigars and young women! So not exactly what I imagined as a fragrance for going out.

But sometimes first impressions are deceptive, so the only option is to try it out for yourself. First spray, well, there it is again, that old-fashioned vibe. Is that benzoin? I have no idea what benzoin could possibly smell like. Then it dries down. And suddenly like this: Mhm, somehow quite pleasant now. There's a bit of vanilla now. Then the lavender. And then I can't stop sniffing my arm.

Later, I also notice how it radiates; after a few hours, the vanilla is still there with the lavender and a little spice. Very beautiful and also attractive. However, I can imagine the fragrance more on my husband than on myself. Although I would definitely classify it as unisex.

What's that smell?
Somehow I have the misfortune that many of the hyped perfumes don't pick me up at all. My nose only recognizes rubber and a little sweetness. No lily of the valley, no clove and certainly no strawberry. Even vanilla and tonka disappear under the rubber mat.

Maybe someone can enlighten me ... Is the rubber-sole smell from the saffron or the spices?

In any case, I have to capitulate to this fragrance.

Perfectly unisex
Gris Charnel is one of the first niche fragrances I tested - and I immediately took it to my heart. For me, it is the epitome of unisex. Whereby the only unisex perfume I knew until then was CK One

Tea and cardamom are the most noticeable for me and I think the sandalwood too. The spice is pleasantly present, but doesn't sting my nose (can easily happen with me). I sense a slight vanilla in the background, probably tonka.

All in all, it's a great fragrance that actually always works. I would mainly wear it to the office or for shopping.
