The inspiration: memories of Brazil's Atlantic coast

The fragrance was created by French perfumer Alexandra Carlin, who was inspired by her trip to Bahia - a city on Brazil's Atlantic coast that has been characterized by the cultivation and trade of cocoa for centuries.

There she experienced the diversity of Bahia in all its facets: the rich vegetation, the aroma of sun-dried cocoa pods, the sound of the sea and the joie de vivre of the people. Impressions such as the bittersweet aroma of ripe cocoa pods, the salty breeze of the Atlantic and the warm, light-flooded atmosphere flowed into her creation - as an olfactory ode to the energy and rhythm of the city.

The composition starts with creamy, nutty notes and the warm spice of cardamom. The powdery facets of orris root reveal themselves in the heart, enveloped by the bitter-velvety depth of cocoa shell. Earthy patchouli forms the conclusion and lends the fragrance a warm, gourmand echo - a reminder of the red earth and the golden sunsets on the Atlantic.
