A Tribute to the Opera Icon: The New Eau de Parfum "Maria Callas" by the Merchant of Venice

In memory of the opera legend, The Merchant Of Venice unveils the women's fragrance "Maria Callas", which combines floral-fruity tones with a warm, sensual base.

To mark the 100th anniversary of Maria Callas' birth, The Merchant of Venice presents the first official fragrance inspired by the goddess. An iconic fragrance that embodies her essence and elegance.

The Merchant Of Venice

"Maria Callas" unfolds with a vitalizing top note of Italian mandarin, lemon and Madagascar pepper and then develops into a floral heart of green notes, sweet currant, neroli and rose. A warm finish is provided by a bouquet of Akigala and Georgian wood, which blends with woody nuances of Texas and Virginia cedar.

The fragrance celebrates the legacy of the late opera singer Maria Callas, who would have been 100 years old on December 6.

Maria Callas, born in New York in 1923, is still celebrated today as one of the most famous sopranos in history. With her extraordinary voice and magnetic stage presence, she captured the hearts of audiences worldwide. Her career took her to the most important opera houses, where she thrilled audiences as Violetta in "La Traviata" or as Norma in "Norma". She died in Paris on September 16, 1977 at the age of 53, but her influence and legacy continue to shape the world of music to this day.

The new fragrance is available in bottle sizes of 50 and 100 ml.
