An Ode to Poetry: "Sous Le Pont Mirabeau" by Etat Libre d'Orange

The Parisian niche fragrance label introduces the new unisex fragrance "Sous Le Pont Mirabeau", inspired by a poem about the memory of a love gone by.

The first spritz of the fragrance exudes a sweet, fruity and slightly spicy accord of elemi resin, fig, Italian bergamot and pink pepper. In the heart, aquatic and ozonic notes combine with violet and incense before woody and earthy notes of musk, orcanox, sandalwood and Virginia cedar provide depth to the composition.

The perfume, whose name translates as "Under the Mirabeau Bridge", is inspired by one of the most beautiful poems by Guillaume Apollinaires, an important French poet of the early 20th century. In twenty verses, Apollinaire describes the sorrow and pain of a broken love, using the Seine and the Mirabeau Bridge as a metaphor for the slow and inexorable flow of love's transience. "Sous Le Pont Mirabeau" aims to capture the romantic atmosphere of the bridge and the melancholy of the poem in a woody aquatic composition.

Provocative fragrances and artistic freedom: the vision of Etat Libre d'Orange

Founded in 2006, the niche fragrance label is known for its unconventional, often salacious and provocative, fragrance creations dedicated to artistic freedom. One example is the 2006 fragrance "Secretions Magnifiques", which is meant to mimic the smell of human blood, sweat and semen. In addition, Etat Libre d'Orange creates fragrances together with other artists, such as "You or Someone Like You", which was developed with American writer Chandler Burr.

"Sous Le Pont Mirabeau" is enclosed in a transparent rectangular bottle topped with a silver cap.

The fragrance will soon be available in 30 ml, 50 ml and 100 ml sizes. The exact release date is still unknown.
