An Ode to the Rebirth of Fashion: The New Eau de Parfum "New Look" by Dior

Inspired by the revolutionary fashion style of the 1950s, luxury fashion house Dior presents the new amber unisex fragrance "New Look".

New Look is a high-contrast unisex eau de parfum, a radical silhouette, an olfactory shock born from a bold creative approach that pushes the traditional boundaries of amber fragrance.

To capture the opulence and luxury of Christian Dior couture, the composition combines fresh, highly concentrated aldehyde notes with warm, woody amber. Spicy facets of incense are added to create an aura that is both powerful and elegant.

After the end of the Second World War, the world yearned for change and optimism. In the fashion world, the reverberations of its aftermath still dominated everywhere and clothing was mainly utilitarian. But then, on February 12, 1947, something unexpected happened: Christian Dior, a newcomer to Parisian haute couture, surprised everyone with an unexpected show at 30 Avenue Montaigne. His 'New Look', which combined fitted jackets, accentuated breasts and wide, swinging skirts, heralded a turning point in fashion history. Opulent fabrics such as taffeta and organza gave clothing a luxurious touch. Although there was initial controversy, the 'New Look' became a symbol of the rebirth of fashion. It manifested a return from the image of the emancipated working woman to the ideal of the princess and lady.

The Eau de Parfum "New Look" is part of the "La Collection Privée Christian Dior". The first version "New Look 1947", a floral-powdery fragrance for women, debuted in 2010. With the new unisex composition, perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, Creative Director of Dior Perfumes, promises a modern and more daring olfactory interpretation of the style.

The new fragrance is available in bottle sizes of 125 and 250 ml.
