Inspired by the Sea: "Deriva" and "Abbrivioist" by Tiziana Terenzi

Italian fragrance brand Tiziana Terenzi presents its latest perfume extracts "Deriva" and "Abbrivioist" from the "Sea Stars" collection, inspired by the world of seafaring.

Deriva

Sometimes you have to be able to surrender to life in order to enjoy it to the fullest, as you do when you head out to sea and into the unknown.

Tiziana Terenzi

The composition opens with a fresh, exotic top note that blends Brazilian pineapple, Bulgarian lavender, Italian lemon, Calabrian bergamot and Zanzibari cardamom. The heart of the fragrance exudes a sweet-spicy accord of Egyptian rose geranium, Italian gardenia, Peruvian pink pepper, Russian raspberry and Singapore patchouli. Finally, the warm base unfolds, carried by Australian sandalwood, Bourbon vanilla, Italian rosewood, Colombian tonka bean and Virginia tobacco.

In the seafaring world, the Italian word "deriva" means "to drift" and describes the undirected movement of a ship without an exact course. It represents the loss of control over our will and the driving force to head for an unknown destination. The journey can be relaxed, as on sunny days on calm waters, or boisterous and adrenaline-fueled, amidst storms and waves. Sailors and explorers leave behind the safe haven of their knowledge and embark on a journey into the unknown. The fragrance "Deriva" is intended to embody the dedication to lose ourselves in the oblivion of our most secret passions.

Abbrivio

Each boat has its own soul and therefore its own direction of travel, which can never be identical to that of another. A kind of inimitable, unique fingerprint, just as the creation he inspired is inimitable and unique.

The top notes of "Abbrivio" refresh with Brazilian orange, holy herb, Italian strawberry and black currant. In the heart, seaweed, amber, coumarin and Cuban cane sugar meet. Finally, the fragrance unfolds in a warm and sensual base note, characterized by Atlas cedar, Australian sandalwood, Italian oakmoss, musk and Tuscan oak.

The Italian word "abbrivio" stands for forward momentum and describes the inertial motion of a boat. As a boat moves forward, it must exert tremendous force to move forward. Regardless of whether the drive is gaining or losing intensity, it is the sailor's art to adapt to change and navigate the waters safely.

Created by Paolo Terenzi, the fragrances are part of the "Sea Stars" collection by Tiziana Terenzi.

"Deriva" and "Abbrivio" are available in bottle sizes of 100 ml.
