Silent Intimacy and Tender Longing: The New Eau de Parfum “Melody” by Miller Harris
With "Melody", Miller Harris unveils a new unisex creation within the Stories Collection. At the center is the delicate damask rose, embedded in green freshness and gentle warmth.
It smells of her: sweet like the torn petal of a flower, sweet like lavender plucked from its stem in summer bloom.

The composition of "Melody" opens with a fresh, green accord: aromatic basil meets citrusy bergamot, accompanied by green stems and the fruity, tart note of blackcurrant. The heart reveals a sensual floral interplay: lavender, Ceylon tea and rose damascena absolute lend the fragrance a calming depth, which is rounded off by a warm, powdery base of creamy vanilla, white musk and soft cashmere and cedar wood.
The creation was inspired by a scene from "Open Water" by Caleb Azumah Nelson: The artist puts on the hoodie of his absent love - and is enveloped by the last breath of her scent. "Melody" is intended to capture precisely this feeling: the mixture of comfort and quiet longing when you put on a familiar piece of clothing and the scent of a loved one is still in the air - like a memory that remains tangible even without the physical closeness.
A new chapter in the Stories Collection
Perfumer Sidonie Lancesseur created the fragrance for the literary-inspired Stories Collection by British luxury fragrance house Miller Harris - a line in which each creation tells of places, memories and emotions like a chapter in a novel.
Previous compositions include "Soufflot", which captures the essence of a spring morning in Paris, "Celadon", a green-floral homage to Chinese porcelain and the Dream of the Red Chamber as well as "Scherzo (Eau de Parfum)", a unisex floral fragrance of black rose, peony and narcissus, inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald's Tender Is the Night.
The new fragrance is available in a bottle size of 100 ml.
