An underrated semi-gourmand
I love the composition of this — an airy gourmand reminiscent of sweet brioche baking in a boulangerie, but which does so without tipping over into heavy/edible territory. Almost gourmand-adjacent rather than a true gourmand.

I really like how the chestnut accord in this complements the honey and tobacco in such a warm and yummy way, less strongly sweet and smoky than in By the Fireplace and not starchy/synthetic(?) as in ELDO Frustration. The honey comes through, liquid and clear. The floral and subtle citrus notes add lightness to the scent, which gives off ‘strolling past rows of brioche behind the bakery window on your morning walk’ vibes, as opposed to ‘I AM brioche’ like some gourmand scents can do (don’t get me wrong, I love the latter, but just not for a serious work meeting!)

To me Soufflot is elegant, nuanced, yet delicious. Beautifully executed in my opinion and my new favourite wear-to-work gourmand.

My Winter Fragrance!
Soufflot was the first fragrance I snagged at a sharing in the souk. I just had to test it since the scent notes sounded so interesting and I thought the bottle was simply great (yes, the eye also eats :)). The sample came from Germany and it took a little while before I could finally test it. I sprayed it directly on my skin with great anticipation and was initially surprised because I somehow expected something different. I don't even know what, maybe more sweetness or a different kind of spice.
Not really positively surprised, I found it scratchy and almost a bit unpleasant, so I set it aside for a few weeks. Not too far, though, because I kept taking it out and smelling it. Eventually, on a colder afternoon, I sprayed it on my skin again.

I don't know exactly what happened, but suddenly I couldn't get enough of this fragrance. It is so special, so unique, that I had to get another sample and finally also a bottle.

I don't know why I didn't like this fragrance at first; it hasn't changed, but now I love it and wear it very happily in the colder season.

About the fragrance itself:
What I initially perceived as "scratchy" I would now describe as "dry." An uncreamy, unripe mandarin that is dipped a little in honey so that it can still be enjoyed. Along with some roasted nuts. Over time, a warm tobacco note comes into play. The progression on my skin is fluid and quick, so I get the final result after just 15 minutes, which for me is a warm, tobacco-spicy, slightly honey-nut comforting scent. It lasts for several hours.
The fragrance is definitely something different and probably not a people-pleaser. I wouldn't wear it in the office; it's more of an outing scent for me.

With Time, the Christmas Market Comes Around
Soufflot is one of those fragrances where I feel a bit torn. On one hand, I really like this scent, especially as time goes on. On the other hand, there are moments when I find this fragrance just okay and feel relatively indifferent about it.

The scent starts off nutty, sweet, and there is a certain light fruity component to it.
The mandarin likely brings this light fruity touch into play, which I do enjoy. However, there have also been moments when I didn’t like it as much. As I mentioned, I often find myself in a dilemma here. I have sometimes felt that there is a hint of plum involved. However, this is not listed in the pyramid.
Perhaps my nose is just playing tricks on me.
The sweetness definitely comes from the honey. I can really pick out the honey well.

As time goes on, the fragrance develops more and more into a little Christmas market for me.
Cinnamon, honey, and also a perceived clove regularly waft into my nose. Clove is also not listed, but I must say that I definitely smell some kind of clove here. Additionally, we have pleasant tobacco, as well as nice resinous impressions.
In the base, there are also soft leather nuances to be sensed.

The fragrance is definitely unisex wearable. The performance is quite good. On me, the scent lasts about 8 hours, but it becomes relatively close to the skin after about 3-4 hours.

Seduces with nuts, bitter roasted aromas,
a splash of mandarin.
Sugar-sweet turnaround.
Libido is drowned
like jasmine in honey.

The top note is incredibly beautiful with fresh, slightly green hazelnuts. Once that fades, it becomes softly woody-spicy.

Roasted notes are strong at first, initially unsweetened nutty, then slowly sweeter, a bit like By the Fireplace, cinnamon and chestnut, winter/autumn evening.

Unique tobacco-honey scent. Starts nutty-fruity, then becomes balsamic-sweet-spicy. A very nice winter fragrance, unisex. Absolutely worth trying!

Reminds me of maple syrup in Majaina Sin, roasted chestnuts in autumn, caramelized hazelnuts, peat, and a walk in the woods.

Delicate, light honey
Plus a nut corner and spiced tea.
Now I'm looking forward to autumn.

Herb citrus & nut/chestnut in KN smoothly transitions to cinnamon honey on tobacco leaf. Increasingly creamy-resinous-woody. Unique & too shy.

Initially nutty, sweet, and slightly fruity. Then hints of a Christmas market come through with honey, cinnamon, and a touch of clove.
