The Essence of Honey and Rose Tea: “Melos” by pernoire

The Swiss perfume house pernoire combines gourmand and floral notes in "Melos" to create a sensual unisex fragrance inspired by the beauty rituals of Cleopatra VII.

Be inspired by the legacy of Cleopatra VII, the legendary Egyptian queen whose incomparable allure captivated the world. Her secret ritual - immersing herself in rose petal baths and drinking rose tea sweetened with pure Nile honey - not only gave her grace, but also made her smell so beguiling that she became a symbol of irresistible charm.

"Melos" was conceived as an olfactory homage to Cleopatra VII - the last pharaoh of Egypt. Inspired by her private rituals - rose petal baths and rose tea sweetened with Nile honey - the Extrait de Parfum combines floral grace with gourmand sweetness. The name "Melos" is a combination of "Meli" (honey) and rose tea - and is symbolic of the timeless charm that the composition is intended to exude.

The fragrance unfolds with a fruity-floral opening of grapefruit, grape and blackcurrant, surrounded by a delicate floral note of rose tea. Sweet and spicy accords dominate the center: Egyptian honey, baked apple, hazelnut and a hint of saffron meet rose nuances and lend the heart note a rich gourmand depth with oriental echoes. A warm base of amber, milk and musk, supported by earthy patchouli, softly rounds off the fragrance.

"Melos" is part of the label's Odus collection, which already includes the fragrances "Poka" and "Anelo".

About pernoire

The roots of pernoire lie not in a studio, but in a long-standing friendship: Nico Mannino and Robin Dünner grew up together in Basel and shared the vision of creating exceptional fragrances as an expression of personality and identity.

When they founded the pernoire label in 2020, they brought perfumer Vincent Micotti on board. Together, they created fragrance compositions with character and depth - often characterized by unusual and oriental-inspired ingredients such as tobacco, amber, sandalwood or the Japanese fruit yuzu.

The very first perfume "Masar" - Arabic for "path" - was a great success and embodies the philosophy of the Swiss brand: every fragrance should be part of an inner journey, a mirror of individual truth and an invitation to rediscover oneself.

The new fragrance is available in a 50 ml bottle.
