I am back. I am back in that place where I was eleven years ago. The place whose impressions I had locked deep in my heart. Memories that I am not able to awaken in the hectic everyday life. With just a spray I'm back, oh Kashi, you city of light.

I remember the smells of incense on every corner, the scent of the sultry air, the smells of the colorful market stalls mixed with spices from every alley. Add to this the scents from the temples with their holy offerings of sweets, flowers, rice and milk. The melange mingles with ever-changing scents. Chai is added and the designated smoky smell of the ghats during the burnings. In the evening I sit in the garden, the sun has long since set, there is no twilight, no warning that the day is drawing to a close. Just as little is there a preparation for this olfactory experience, which I review sitting in this garden. A garden full of jasmine blossoms that begin to give off their scent only at dusk. This clear, intense fragrance grounds me, everything relaxes, the hustle and bustle of the day fades away, everything suddenly seems far away, penetrates only dully to me. I arrive at me in the "so far way".

I close my eyes.
I breathe in deeply.
At this moment I want to stay forever in this very garden in "my" city of light. Oh Kashi, you beautiful, you wild, you holy.

I can add little more to this fragrance other than my true scent experience. But one thing I would like to note is that it is the most authentic jasmine fragrance I have ever encountered. Exactly how it smells at dusk in India in the sultry air of a garden. Dreamlike.

I close my eyes and breathe in the scent tail, which my wrist exudes. I am immediately back on holiday in Sicily, what a dream island.

It's early in the morning, even before the July sun warms the air to over 30 degrees. I quickly slip on my white linen dress to enjoy this wonderful atmosphere on a walk. As I stroll through the alleys of Catania, the air mingles with the scents of the market stalls. The hawkers gesticulate wildly to draw attention to their wares and offer all manner of samples. The smell of freshly cut lemons boldly makes its way into my nose. Inspired by these olfactory, optical and also acoustic impressions I look for a small street café to have breakfast. It's one of those quaint cafés with squiggly bistro furniture and little flowers on the tables. The lemony refreshment is still reverberating, mingling with the lavender stems on my table, when the scent of tobacco reaches me from the next table. My seatmate is tamping his pipe and smiling kindly at me when he notices me turn to face him. Since the gentleman also seems to be alone, I ask him to join me at the table for breakfast. Positively surprised at the hospitality of a tourist, he joins me at the table. We order cappuccini and croissants with honey and while we eat together, communicating with hands and feet, we enjoy a beautiful view of Mount Etna, what an impressive sight. After breakfast I say goodbye to the friendly gentleman, thanking him for his time and assuring him that in life you always meet twice. Happy about this wonderful morning, the impressions, the encounters, I go to my accommodation and let this intensive time pass in review during a siesta. I try to memorize all these treasures, which cannot be captured photographically, because who knows what they might be overlaid with in the afternoon. In Sicily you never know, because Sicily is always intense and alive.

Alien and I didn't have it easy. I started my perfume taster journey with a very cheap dupe brand, to first look basically which directions I like and which not. Among them was a dupe to Alien. I liked the basic direction but unfortunately it gave me a headache and had such a "cheap smell", like all the dupes I tested by the way. They were all so bad that I could not even use them up, but in the garbage.
I then found this forum (hallelujah;-)) and the Souk and started ordering original samples, which definitely flattered my nose more. An Alien, however, was never among them, because I had the headache still well in memory. Plus, I found the bottle so unaesthetic that I wrote it off completely.
Until.... one day.... i ordered samples from a dear perfumer here and bravely ordered Alien as well. Her collection was so big, I wanted so many samples and thought it was worth the risk to add those. Thanks at the point for the great Souk experience.

Skeptical and brave at the same time, I sprayed Alien directly onto my skin, ready to jump and wash it right off. But what was it? Sensual, warm, sexy, from headache or cheap undertones far and wide no trace. I was surprised and boldly sprayed after. The scent remained very linear became minimally woody in the drydown but always remained equally feminine and seductive. Also the durability and the sillage are excellent.
You guessed it...after two days of wrestling with me because of this awful bottle, I ordered a 60 ml bottle and the next surprise was already waiting: the bottle is totally beautiful face to face, much more beautiful than in the photos. So I was blown away again.

Since then, I wear Alien almost every day. This fragrance awakens something in me. When I put it on, I immediately take on a different attitude, internally and felt externally. It makes me feel so feminine and sensual, feelings which I appreciate but which usually get lost in the stressful hamster wheel of everyday life with a job, family, uni and now Corona. I spray it on and everything seems clearer, deeper, more meaningful. It contours and highlights everyday life. Thus I direct my attention when wearing to more essential things, feel more than to think, am more than just to function.
It is by far the most sensual fragrance in my small collection so far, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for something along these lines. Test it out, don't be put off by the packaging and be brave. It's worth it

Thanks to the Souk, a sample of this fragrance came to me and I was finally able to test it.

Initial it goes very citrus. This gives way after about 15 minutes and makes way for an elegant vanilla note, which reminds me of Angelique Noir's vanilla. The vanilla is not very sweet, rather adult, elegant and quite authentic. I can't discern any further fragrance progression. One is quickly arrived at the vanilla and with the it remains then also linear.

However, this really great vanilla has done it to me very much and the beauty is that it remains on my skin 12-14 hours. The durability is therefore top, the sillage moderate. In addition, I feel the fragrance unisex but something in the direction of feminine.

I would say that this is not the most innovative fragrance I have smelled but the authentic vanilla combined with the great longevity and fresh top notes make it very attractive. It is a solid high quality creation and I'm afraid I must have the bottle;-)

This fragrance has taken my heart by storm. It smells incredibly feminine, innocent, naive, yet confident and strong at the same time. In addition, he brings optimism and a cheerfulness that always brings a smile to my face when I smell it. For me, it's a great fragrance for warm sunny days, an all-rounder versatile use in everyday life and for going out, he will hardly tick off.

It starts with a great juicy sweet lychee, which remains well perceptible throughout the fragrance, but becomes creamier in the drydown by the vanilla. I can't pick out any woodiness or spiciness in the scent because everything is blended so well. For me, the scent is mostly super fruity, a little creamy, and a little floral.

The longevity is killer, even after 12 hours I can still smell it on my perfume devouring skin. Sillage is solid, doesn't fill rooms but others smell one.

I've always had a huge weakness for lychees and desperately need the bottle and never want to be without Delina again. :-)
