ah Memo... what are we going to do?
Your concept and visuals really appeal to me... but the 2nd attempt with "Cappadocia | Memo Paris" doesn't really work either.
I was really looking forward to the trip. And your catalog promised a lot. The cover of the sample wonderfully embodies the impressive, ancient rock formations... but everything looks and sounds much nicer in the travel catalog.
maybe it's the mixture with jasmine and iris (butter), both not necessarily my favorites, even if they shine through later - and to be honest I would hardly have identified them - but besides the light, smoky heaviness... i can't even describe it. The scent is already nice... well, rather ok. A quiet representative, which is perfectly fine for me. The fact that you can tune this concept down like this is really remarkable!
And when I look at the pictures of Cappadocia, it fits. And it's definitely worth a trip, I'm sure of that. But just a trip, not a 'let's book it again' trip.

What doesn't sound particularly profound at first, I mean like this:
i own fragrances that have a very special smell for me, that I might not even necessarily like to wear, but that I will keep because I like to smell them anyway.
"Nightclubbing | Celine" is one of them. I think it's good. I think it's even very good. But do I want to smell like that? I don't know. Do I want to smell HIM? Yes, absolutely! I also tested it on my skin, and it develops a cold cigarette note paired with a creamy base. Not too much of either. And therefore suitable for me, because I like cold smoke (in moderation).
It is definitely unisex. And it doesn't make you think of a dive bar, but rather of an upscale establishment where you might pass through the smoking area.
Iris isn't usually my cup of tea, but it's skilfully drowned out here. I find "Eau de Californie | Celine" more difficult, but it doesn't really let me go either. The two could even be a good combination, I'll have to try it out.
In any case, I won't be giving the sample away and I've sniffed it a few times now, simply because I like how the overall concept smells. I don't know whether I'll go out in public with it. But at home for the couch in any case.
