King of the higher temperatures
Of course I do not want to talk to you about the weather, but it is the reason that D&G`s Eau intense was not yet used this year. Too bad, especially since this fragrance is predestined for higher temperatures. Mandarin & grapefruit in the opening I can unfortunately only guess, which is a shame, because I only get a somewhat synthetic and citrusy note. Overall, however, a nice perfume, in which for my subjective perception unfortunately hides a component that somehow bothers me a little. What it is exactly I can not determine from the ingredients unfortunately. Halbarkeit & Sillage are good, it seems but with the fresher fragrances more difficult to be performant, H&S is a plus with Light Blue. Despite the small limitations THE summer scent par excellence, recommendation for sea breeze, T-shirt and shorts.

Clone or Original ?
Considering the differences in the batches of Aventus, I came to L'aventure, Explorer, Club de Nuit and consortia not past. Is me personally but the amount too high, not knowing what to expect in the original. In the perfumery I tested the original Aventus and find, provided it corresponds to the quality of the tester, better than L'aventure. Is the opening of the Al Haramain replica but very sharp, for me a little too citrusy and the course less balanced, especially since here also the pineapple component is completely missing. After about 4 hours it becomes difficult to distinguish the clone from the original. If I could be sure that the quality of the batches are about the same, I would definitely go for the original, even though the clone probably has a better performance. Considering the Creed quality differences and slight miss of the Al Haramin clone, spraying either option remains out for me. To my question in the title: Neither, unfortunately.

Direct hit
Casamorati Mefisto and Regio were my first points of contact with Xerjoff and my enthusiasm was honestly limited, but I know of the quality that offers the house, I was not exactly overwhelmed with these two. Well then a new attempt, this time with a sample kit that did not contain any Casamorati fragrances. I decided to go with Alexandria II, Uden Overdose, Amber Star and Naxos. Alexandria II is a very good scent, but in the end it couldn't quite capture my heart, same with Amber Star and and Uden Overdose. Naxos, however, completely did it for me. The perfectly balanced blend of tobacco, honey and tonka bean are wonderful, not to mention the monster longevity and sillage. I sprayed on some Naxos the next day and headed to work. And then...compliment followed compliment. From thumbs up, to "what a great perfume you have" it was everything. It is not a fragrance that is reserved and shy but you feel really comfortable, wrapped in a mad scent and you just notice how strongly Naxos projects, you feel the quality and that the perfumer has mastered his craft, which is already a bit understated.... otherwise said: the perfumer has created at least for me a small work of art.

Olfactory memory
I guess one of the reasons a perfume is liked is memory. But why did I like Heaven so much in the 90s, it was one of my first fragrances that captivated me. Unfortunately, I can't answer that question exactly. But what I can answer exactly is what the scent reminds me of today. 90s, booming basses, electronic sounds and simply a great time to which I feel transported back with this fragrance. It's all the sadder that Heaven is no longer around. The legend that always accompanied me. An Aquate that has no equal, which is of course always a subjective impression with fragrances and my scent memory makes its appropriate contribution. For me simply THE classic. It is the combination of fresh / floral and a certain sweetness of tonka bean that make the fragrance what it is. A summer all-rounder that got me a bunch of compliments at the time, even during my training at the office. Thank you Monsieur Almairac for the companion, which at least for me, has fit into this time like no other fragrance.

Looking too deep into the rum glass ? Fortunately not.
When I got Roaring Radcliff sprayed on my wrist by the lady today for the first time in the perfumery of my confidence, I thought at first: Great, now I smell as if I had fallen into a barrel of rum, although I made it very clear to her that I don't like alcoholic aromas in perfumes. And I'm glad she convinced me to at least give Radcliff a chance. Because she should be right, what happened after some time in the drydown is just magic. Little by little the rum moves into the background and tobacco and the gentle sweetness of honey unfold and unite to a firework of senses, just great coordinated, make the perfume a very noble scent. There is almost nothing left of the rum and for me personally this is a good thing, because what is left of it is exactly right for my senses to make the perfume what it is: a creative, great perfume that should make its wearer happy. Although I have taken another fragrance in the perfumery into my heart, Roaring Radcliff remains in my thoroughly positive memory and so it is quite possible that this perfume will find its way to me at some point. I will test the bottling I took with me extensively and bear the initially strong rum tone, because what comes after that is simply worth it. In that sense...Cheers!
