Uranium Egoiste
Dear friends of the Dua's,

today geht around a fragrance almost unrated here, about which I would like to give you a review. Dua's YoungEgo (YE) is the replica to Platinum Egoiste (PE) by Chanel, which I like quite well, but in terms of performance is too weak.
Since I wanted to add a barbershop in the direction of "freshly showered" to the collection, however, no arbitrary shower gel fragrance came into consideration, I thought that a more powerful version of PE would be advisable after all.
Let's get to the scent:
Dua has done a better job in my opinion. So although there are parallels between PE and Dua's YE, but I can not speak of a strong similarity here. Alone the prelude of YE is, which is unfortunately known from Dua, unround. It resonates with the familiar oily note with what to me is an indefinable note of salmiac. The petitgrain from the original is unfortunately completely missing. Too bad, as this is the most beautiful note in the original in combination with the metallic lavender. Otherwise, a slightly stripped down version of the original comes to light, but that's about it. Until here, nothing special.

What can be seen, however, are both the durability, as well as the sillage. So the fragrance held with me at least 10 hours, the one or other time also up to 14 hours. On the clothes he remains for days. From platinum becomes uranium, so to speak!

The sillage is also quite strong. The fragrance fills no festival halls, but is already in smaller quantities clearly perceptible around you. Thus, 6 sprayers (and from the spray head really not much comes out) filled after more than two hours at least a small car, so that you could immediately perceive the scent when opening the trunk. That can be seen for a fresh scent but! I would locate the sillage just above Kirké, but still below Bentley for Men Intense.
The flacons are as usual underground for the price, as X-any drugstore fragrances come off better.
Can I recommend YoungEgo? Yes, for all those who love PE of Chanel and want to layer him due to lack of performance.
All others should here rather reach for alternatives such as At the Baber's by Maison Margiela, there you have more of.

As always, thanks for reading!

The strongest horse in the stable?
So this is it: the big number one...at least so far. Layton by Parfums de Marly is probably the strongest horse in the stable, an absolute women's magnet and perfectly balanced between niche and designer. The praises of the Parfumos take no end, but now and then a critical comment shows up.

Let's get to the fragrance: Layton starts with a wonderfully fresh apple note and a strongly pronounced menthol accord. While I like the apple a lot, I don't really know what to make of the menthol. At times it underlines the freshness of the top note very well, at other times it smells a bit like a cold bath. All in all, I still understand very well what many perfumos like about the top note. I also tested Dua's Dupe, which carries significantly stronger performance, but is more unrounded. Likewise Ferragamo's Uomo Signature, which shares strong similarities with Layton in the later stages, but is completely different in the top notes. Neither of the two "fragrance twins" comes at the beginning to Layton ran.

The fragrance continues to develop very vanilla-sweet, but does not lose its initial freshness. Here the similarity to Uomo Signature comes to light, which imitates the spicy sweetness of Layton well. Layton gets a bit spicier and especially woodier towards the end before fading out. All in all, solid craft, but neither special, nor particularly niche. After a strong opening, it becomes a bit too generic for me, as well as too sweet. I can therefore do with Herod a little more and am curious about Carlisle, since I also already like Red Tobacco by Mancera.

The sillage of Layton can be seen, but also does not blow me away. The fragrance is quite present for two hours, before it becomes increasingly close to the skin. Overall, nothing that fills rooms, but with generous application will definitely form a pleasant aura around you.
The longevity is good, but not overwhelming. On my skin, the fragrance lasts a good ten hours.
The bottle is massive and really fancy, I prefer being able to see the fill level though.
Layton is a solid fragrance that you can't go wrong with. I for one can't say that this fragrance generates compliments beyond the average, yet I've asked a few people about the scent. Likewise, I don't want to impress you with grand speeches about individual fragrance notes, because as complex as Layton is often portrayed here, it simply isn't, in my opinion. I would therefore recommend Layton to any Parfumo who is looking for an uncomplicated, but solidly crafted fragrance.

Thanks for reading!

Spicy peach shampoo
Dear Peach Friends,

today it's about Kajal Homme II. A fragrance that I had to have according to the first descriptions, because I'm looking after the rather solid Kirke and Erba Pura a really good peach fragrance that is more suitable for men. So I participated with joy in the sharing and ordered me immediately 5ml for an extensive test.
Kajal Homme II starts fruity-green and goes slightly in the direction of H24-Hermes, even if only for a short time. The green notes come here not at all old-fashioned, but in the interplay with the tangerine rather modern and restrained over. In the background, a peach note in oriental garb already announces itself, which I like very much. Up to this point, the fragrance is very promising and ranks in the top 10 of everything I have tested so far. Unfortunately.....es does not remain so.
One or the other Parfumo complains about the increasing sweetness and synthetics. I for my part join conditionally. Although the fragrance is sweeter, but by no means too sweet, even if the prelude was clearly more promising. I am, on the other hand, particularly bothered by the very synthetic musk note that seems to increasingly take over the fragrance. The green-oriental peach turns into slightly spicy peach shampoo. This does not ruin the fragrance as a whole, no, I still like it quite well, but this makes the promising prelude fade and reduces my willingness to pay just under 200€ for the bottle.
The current reviews in terms of durability and sillage I can also only partially understand. At best, the fragrance lasts just under 7 hours on my skin, which is fine by my criteria, but neither really solid nor good. The sillage is quite present within the first 90-120 minutes, but then subsides increasingly skin deep. I would compare the sillage to Club de Nuit Intense Man edP. Lets itself be seen, is also still there if one does not expect it, but fills no rooms or remains extremely present over hours.
The bottle is chic, no question. The sprayer I can not evaluate, but I like the lid quite well. Too bad that the bottle is not visible, because that is always a minus point with me.
Otherwise, I would like to recommend Kajal Homme II to all perfumos who are looking for an oriental peach that is extraordinary and yet easy to like, as well as to all who are not too bothered by shampooed musk and still spend a lot of money on a fragrance. My peach of choice probably won't be Kajal Homme II. For tips and suggestions in this direction, I am but very grateful to you!

As always, thanks for reading!

A duet of fruit and smoke
Dear perfume enthusiasts,

today is about Club de Nuit Intense Man edP, the allegedly better version of the edT and thus the best dupe to the original by Creed.
CDNIM starts off strongly citrusy-synthetic and reminiscent of bathroom cleaners. It's not exactly pleasant, but wait and see, because what follows is really good. After 10-15 minutes, the citrus settles a bit, the fruity pineapple emerges in tandem with the tart currant. The birch gradually delivers more smoke in complement. This is the moment I like best, as I really appreciate this duet of fruit and smoke. The smoky note is just perfect with the tart fruit, leather like Cedrat Boise I invented on the other hand as a little too unbalanced.
In the base, earthy patchouli stands out perceptibly, but not so that it would significantly shape the fragrance character.
On the whole, CDNIM is close to Aventus, except for the opening. I like! The edT, by the way, I do not know, so I can not provide a comparison here.

As with Milestone and Sillage, the durability is again lousy. I can explain the high ratings in terms of durability only so that the fragrances have all once held significantly longer, but have been reformulated.
From Intense Man edP I get a maximum of six hours of fragrance experience with generous application, I should not still help with ISO-E. Here it could have been quiet a little more.
The sillage is not overwhelming, but can be seen just within the first two hours. The fragrance goes with 8 spritzes even after two hours clearly through the medical masks and already provided several times for proper compliments (even from strangers). Overall, this fragrance leads in terms of compliments also currently in my collection.
The bottle is fine, nothing more. Too bad I find that this is not visible. The sprayer I feel, as with the other Armafs, as mau.
Well, for that the fragrance is not exactly expensive and when I look at Aventus so, I would reach any time to Armafs clone, because what Creed so deliver lately, is beyond a good price-performance ratio. What is offered here for the narrow purse, can be quite buy and wear. Therefore, I would recommend this fragrance to anyone who can do with Aventus what, but is not ready to pay so much money for it.

As always, thanks for reading!

Vacation from the bottle
Dear summer friends,

today is probably about the summer scent par excellence. Light Blue Intense appears in every YouTube video on the subject of fragrances and is prayed up and down. So it is not about an insider tip. But it is, to mention that in advance, about a solid aquatic.
I have my sample now several months and tested several times, but have promised the generous Parfumo to test the fragrance again at high temperatures and yes, that makes a very clear difference. At the point best thanks to Balticsea for the sample!
Light Blue Intense starts through the mandarin slightly fruity with a nice grapefruit, from which Bleu de Chanel could still cut something in terms of balance. Nothing stings here, even if Light Blue Intense is not a natural fragrance. Quickly following, without much scent progression, a successful juniper berry and maritime notes join in here. Here lies for me but the dog buried, because these are designed really easy to tolerate - too easy.
Who loves it strongly aquatic with neat salt, seaweed and all sorts of things, will probably only roll his eyes bored with Light Blue Intense. Who, however,
something easily tolerable without big frills looking for, which can look at the here times. And as "proven" is the fragrance yes all the time.
Again and again I read here in the entries that the fragrance has a strange musty smell or smells stale. I can only say that I had the same encounter with a bottle at the perfumery of my choice. Whether the fragrance tips particularly easily or there are off-batches, I can't say, but it's quite noticeable. With my sample was then in any case again everything in order.
The durability is solid for a summer fragrance, but does not blow me away. Benevolently, there is for 6-8 hours (depending on the weather and skin) a rating in line with the average. The sillage really disappointed me in the even colder spring days, but turns up properly on hot days. Good thing, this makes the scent a good choice in hot temperatures. Even then, however, it is never intrusive and forms a pleasant veil around the wearer.
The bottle is really chic, the light blue fragrance in the milky glass really reminds a lot of vacation. The sprayer is fine. Overall, a solid fragrance, but I stay with the hobbyhorse of Armani, because I find the again significantly better, since Light Blue Intense seems to me on balance but something too arbitrary.
I can nevertheless recommend Light Blue Intense to any fragrance lover who wants to fall back on a proven fragrance in high temperatures and to whom a solid performance at a fairly reasonable price is important.

Sunny greetings and thanks for reading!
