A historic moment for a rose hater
As you know, this fragrance is nothing new. But since I keep stumbling across it and many people have been wearing it for a while, I had to give it a sniff on principle. I didn't for so long because of its name, which I didn't find at all appealing.

And now I can say that I have no regrets! I was expecting double and triple the amount of coffee (which I was a little scared of) - instead I was met with a pleasant and incredibly pleasing rose scent. This surprised me because, admittedly, I have always consistently avoided rose-dominant fragrances.

But because it's a sweet Turkish rose and has the consistency of a locum or jam, I love it. I'm really horrified by overpowering rose/floral fragrances. Intense Cafe immediately reminds me of Rose Jam from Lush. This cult fragrance has basically been a part of my shower routine for years.

In any case, on the one hand I notice this particular type of rose - throughout and as the main component. And this fresh and light musk-vanilla base hovers in the background. In my perception, the coffee is only more present as an accord towards the end. In the earlier stages, it sits beautifully warm and deep on the vanilla bed.

It has something of a love confession - and it is one. So it's worth testing even for rose and coffee skeptics. Typical H/S Montale.

I'ts been a minute
Yuzu and Cocoa was also the name of my first Lush product - a shower gel. In the meantime, almost 10 years have passed since I last had this fragrance under my nose. The bright yellow bottle was an important staple in my bathroom for quite a while. Freshly showered, I filled (what felt like) classrooms with it and I loved the clean yet cuddly-warm feeling it gave me.

So when I made another trip to a Lush store last weekend, I thought I was going to be struck. Butterball, Cinders, Milky Bath... and other oldies are there in the form of a body spray or as a perfume. And when I saw Yuzu and Cocoa in between, my day was made.

I don't always find that Lush translates an existing fragrance well for spraying on later. With another favorite of mine like Lord of Misrule, for example, I miss the vanilla compared to the shower gel. But here I simply can't complain.

Now the body spray opens very citrusy.
In the first five minutes, cocoa and tonka bean are only very subtly perceptible. After that, and especially from the 1-2 hour mark, this chocolate-tonka bomb radiates in combination with these fresh citrus fruits - it is melting away. In the deeper drydown, it even has a slightly coconutty effect on me.

The longevity is relatively incredible. On the skin, as well as on clothing and hair. And since this is a limited edition, I would advise all gourmandies to try this one.

If I could have wished for anything from Mona, it would have been a strawberry milkshake fragrance. So when I got wind of this release, I had practically already bought it.

When I arrived at my nearest Sephora, the youngest member of the Yum family was already smiling at me.

Sprayed on. I get exactly the authentic strawberry milk I was hoping for. Especially in the opening with a fresh and airy twist, thanks to apple and lemon. I can also smell the pink marshmallows on top. Next to it is a glass - filled to the brim with strawberry & yoghurt Campino sweets. The coconut milk could be hidden in the whipped cream.

The blossom is also present at the beginning, but only very subtly in the background. Otherwise it would perhaps be too sweet and at some point annoying. After about an hour, it becomes even creamier and the strawberry is really pleasantly fluffy. H/S is on the quieter side for an Intesne, but okay.

I think we have something really successful here. And I can already see many gourmand mice throwing themselves on this Schmakofatz and enjoying it as much as I do.

Fig dream
As we have often read, this fragrance conveys an incredibly authentic fig tree. The slightly bitter skin of the fruit, the green leaves and the sweet and juicy interior, combined with the coconut milk is absolutely heavenly. Initially very fresh and a little green.

I don't normally like green fragrances, but Philosykos is incredibly balanced and has a very warm yet pleasantly fresh effect. The shady spot by the sea on a Greek island under a fragrant fig tree hits the mark.

Absolutely unisex and, despite the strong summer association, can be worn beautifully at any time of year or day. However, I definitely recommend the EDP instead of the EDT, as it hardly differs from the original fragrance and lasts much longer.
