Dreamy pistachio Angel
I love Angel flanker that keep the DNA of the controversial original and make it a little easier to wear. There have been many over the years, like the EDTs, most summer editions, Angel Liqueur de Parfum, the stunning Angel Muse... But also some that just don't smell like Angel at all, especially in recent years, for example the Angel Nova line or Angel Elixir. I'm not a fan of those, I think a legendary fragrance like Angel deserves to have flankers that smell like they come from the same family.

Fortunately Angel Stellar is one of them. It has the familiar sweetness and patchouli that I want from an Angel flanker, of course toned down a good bit. The earthy, sweaty parts of Angel's patch are gone, and I don't miss them. The fruity parts also less obvious. But the vanilla, a touch of cleaner patch, and the musky-honeyed backbone are still there, topped with a pistachio that has both crunchy and creamy facets. It gets a little less nutty and more angel-esque over the time.

To describe this in popular perfumes, it smells a bit like something halfway in between of Angel Muse and Kayali's Pistachio Gelato.
As I have both of them, I'm not sure if I really need this, maybe I'll try layering first. It's not as heavy as Angel Muse though - Muse is purely an autumn/winter scent to me, while Stellar is more of an easygoing all year gourmand.
If you like Angel flankers and pistachio, you really can't go wrong here.

delicious scent, incredible longevity and performance
I really love this version of Angel. The original formula from the 90s was something I could appreciate but not wear. Angel is a hallmark in perfumes for sure, but it is too sugary for me. Angel Stellar is that outstanding, unique scent profile, but without the sugary-ness and instead has a nutty, creaminess that is deeper and richer and I love it. It is patchouli to be sure, but not the health food store essential oil version (which is also lovely) but it's patchouli the way it's done in Coco Noir to my nose. Like date night, dressed up patchouli. I spray it on my skin on the back of my arm and can still smell it next day.

hyper sweet, sugar loaded, candied peanuts and pistachio, caramel, with a sort of elementary-school-cherry-throat-numbing-spray astringency as soon as it's sprayed. rapidly dries down to sugar and nuts, the smell of a bakery in the morning, as the cookies just start to become fragrant. brings about images of fairground candied nuts, sweet and sticky, ever so slightly burnt and salted. the sun has long set but the lights of the fairgrounds provide more than enough light, it's crowded beyond belief, and you stick your nose in to that crinkly paper bag and inhale as hard as you can, until you can't inhale any further.

Whenever I read something about a patchouli blend, something in my brain gets stuck. This is also the case here. I only read pistachio/patchouli and, as always, was very curious. However, those expecting a spring-fresh flanker will unfortunately be disappointed.
This fragrance is like a warm embrace.
You might imagine it like this: a gloomy day, and you make yourself comfortable on the sofa with a good book, hot chocolate, and your favorite blanket, letting the hours pass by, lost in your reading...

The scent opens with a bitter, citrusy bergamot and immediately transitions into nutty pistachio. Then the pistachio continues with a wonderfully creamy texture. Only later in the base does patchouli join in. Everything fits together so wonderfully. And patchouli does not take the lead for me. The pistachio cream is very present in the heart note. Only after a few hours does the bitter/citrusy bergamot make another appearance, and these "only three present ingredients" create a beautiful unity.

I tested the fragrance at work, and it was very well received.... it also suited the seasonal gloomy/wet late winter mood (early February).
For the beginning of spring, it personally fits for me during an early walk in the woods in the rising sun or when I’m in my “I-drape-my-favorite-blanket-over-my-head-and-don’t-want-to-deal-with-the-world” phase, or I simply let the sun shine on my face, lost in thought, like today. Wonderful!

A lovely scent for me to just think of nothing.

For some, this fragrance might be dismissed as musty... so I advise anyone who has become curious about this pistachio cream to please test it beforehand!

And another flanker…
I thought to myself when I saw the first reviews for this fragrance a few months ago. At first, I had no interest, but when I saw this week that it is now available at a large perfume shop in Germany, I couldn't resist, of course. Moreover, I had read here that it is supposed to resemble one of my absolute favorites, Angel Muse. The main note is said to be pistachio, and in 2025, there will be no avoiding pistachio, so why not in a spray? The bottle is beautiful, a deep clear blue. The fragrance has a very nutty, gourmand quality to it, but I can't specifically detect the pistachio. The base consists of nut and the typical Angel patchouli. At first, I was a bit disappointed and said to my husband, “Hmm, it almost smells like nothing.” He replied, “No, it’s actually very strong” (and opened the car window). Now, after a few days of testing, I can only agree with him: H+S are (thankfully) extremely potent. Will people line up for it like they do for the Dubai chocolate? I don't think so, as it is quite special, which is also a good thing. Despite the cheerful blue, it is definitely not for warm days, more of a cozy scent for autumn and winter. While it does come close to Angel Muse, in my opinion, it doesn't quite reach it, as that one is a bit nuttier and more complex, but it is still a very successful flanker.

Not seeing the Muse comparison. Muse is sweeter, with a noticeable fruity accord, while Stellar is straight woods + nuttiness. Both yummy!

I despise the OG Angel. This one opening is amazing but leads to an disg 5min dry down before becoming OUTSTANDING again sweet beautiful

Really sweet, like one of those Sol de Janeiro sprays for teenage girls. A half-hearted spritz lasted all day, though, kind of impressive.

I hated the original Angel, but gave this a shot since I had it in a sampler. It smells like nostalgia to me. Sweet, syrupy, love at first spritz!

Very pistachio and sweetly. I thought I would like it, but it is not for me. It does remind me of Amouage 46, which I also do not like

Crumbly vanilla cookies, simple syrup, pistachio vape liquid. Oddly nostalgic, otherwise unremarkable. I guess I'm not a pistachio person.

Very sweet, nutty + quite soft, but a powerful scent with good performance. Little patchouli, if any. Probably my favourte Angel flankers

A very bland, very nutty gourmand. Absolutely nothing special.
