Summer in Italy in a Bottle
17 Rosso opens with clear, strong notes of peach and mint, along with floral aspects.
After a while, the mint note fades, and the woody notes and saffron clearly come through for me. The peach remains in the foreground throughout the entire scent progression.
In the background, you can still detect very light rose and something slightly spicy (but very subtle).
For me, it is primarily a summer fragrance with surprisingly good longevity. What 17 Rosso does particularly well is that it differs from most summer scents, as it undergoes an extreme development over time. Initially, there is a certain "wake up" effect from the mint and the sweetness from the peach, which evolves into a more masculine scent as time goes on, becoming a bit rougher and darker with the saffron and woody notes, yet without the charm of the fragrance being overshadowed by oud.
All in all, you can wear 17 Rosso well in any season and for almost any occasion. It's not exactly cheap, no question, but it's worth it.

A Bomb Through and Through
Spice Bomb is definitely one of the well-known fragrances in the designer segment. The regular Eau de Toilette was in my possession a few years ago and was worn very often. Spicebomb Extreme definitely delivers on its promises.
Extreme is the name of the game here. With this scent, you will definitely stand out. Be careful with the spraying, it can easily become too much.
For confident men, this is definitely a must-have in the designer segment.
Spices, sweetness, and tobacco fit perfectly together. I don’t really pick up on the grapefruit, but the sweetness and spice from the cinnamon definitely dominate.
For me, a clear recommendation. Classic Spice Bomb bottle with bomb-like longevity and sillage.
I think it should be represented in every collection.

Niche for Little Money, First Blind Buy
Where should I start? Of course, I saw Tonka Oud in numerous YouTube or TikTok videos and initially thought; this could just be another artificially created hype. And then there’s a “Limited Edition” with extremely good ratings and online presence. It’s hard to resist, to be honest.
So, I went ahead and ordered the Swiss Arabian, without knowing if I would even like it at the end of the day. When the fragrance arrived, I was already very impressed by the presentation and packaging. Visually, the fragrance looks significantly more expensive. You have to like the color, which gives off more feminine vibes at first; I found and still find the bottle simply top-notch.
Now let’s get to the essentials; the scent and its DNA;
Upon the first spray, I was initially overwhelmed by the amount of sweetness. However, that impression faded relatively quickly, and I was blown away. The combination of vanilla, tonka, and almond is just incredible. Very smooth and not unnecessarily artificial or overpowering. The rose and orange blossom round everything off and add a soft touch. Definitely unisex wearable. My wife also likes to wear it. It reminds me a bit of Acqua e Zucchero, but softer and rounder.
The longevity and sillage are simply outstanding! Monster performance for a small price. Unfortunately, the fragrance is currently no longer available. As soon as it’s back in stock, I will definitely buy some more as a backup.
By now, I am a real Swiss Arabian fan and have also acquired Oud Ahmar and Oud Azraq.

Not a fan of Yves Saint Laurent
Highly praised, often advertised, so I decided to test it out in a perfume store. At first, I didn't find the scent so bad. Very fresh and citrusy, slightly synthetic but not unpleasant. Just as a scent for everyday use, I thought to myself that you can't really go wrong, and I ordered the perfume online.
Now, after a few months and with a growing perfume collection, I must honestly admit that the scent is not used as often anymore. Somehow, I feel it lacks a bit of character. The scent is not really exciting, the longevity and sillage cannot compete with many fragrances and I would rate it as inadequate. Luckily, I purchased it relatively cheaply online. I definitely wouldn't pay the MSRP for this scent. At the end of the day, it's a basic fragrance without any real unique features or recognizability.
Still a shame that the scent can’t be used anymore.

One of the best designer fragrances
Actually, I'm not a big fan of vanilla scents, but this one has definitely convinced me. The vetiver makes it a bit more synthetic, which for me doesn’t give the fragrance a negative aspect overall. I would say it's definitely an everyday scent. I wear this one more often at the office. Very pleasant and not too overpowering.
Of course, the fragrance isn’t rich in facets at the end of the day, but it’s still a classic that belongs in my collection.
I can’t really perceive the ginger in the top note due to the pronounced vanilla. For me personally, it could be a bit spicier. Nevertheless, Born in Roma remains a good all-rounder for any occasion.
