Something different from the Chypre Konig
On 15.03.2024 I was finally able to order the fragrance from Roja. The order went out on the same day, as I am a big fan of "Isola Blu (perfume) / Oligarch (perfume) | Roja Parfums". I have to admit that I had imagined this great summer fragrance differently. But as I've already read here, to expect a hybrid of "Pacific Chill | Louis Vuitton" and "Virgin Island Water | Creed" would not fit Roja Dove at all! But we don't get a classic chypre here either. I can certainly understand why the fragrance is polarizing here. It's just not a typical Roja and also not a typical sparkling, citrusy summer fragrance. However, I do welcome the fact that Roja Dove is taking a different approach here. After all, he has conjured up enough chypre masterpieces!

Here you get a floral, creamy-powdery, slightly fruity summer fragrance. For some, the fragrance may not be extraordinary enough. But I am of the opinion that Roja has created a "sun cream vibe" fragrance of great quality. In the opening you get a fresh citrus, but not as "sharp" as most summer fragrances. The floral notes are also immediately present and remain dominant throughout the fragrance. The apricot, together with the coconut, gives the whole thing a very slight sweetness. For me, however, these two fragrance notes are beautifully interwoven and not "over-present". The citrusy notes fade into the background relatively quickly. Light aquatic notes and a gentle base of musk and woods round off the fragrance. The entire creation comes across as very elegant, soft and clean.

From the description, you can already tell that the fragrance is more of a feminine scent. The fragrance definitely needs the right wearer. I think the fragrance is very appealing and definitely wearable as a signature, but not a blind buy. It definitely goes better with a slightly more chic outfit, such as a white summer dress or a white polo shirt.

The longevity and sillage are really good for this type of fragrance! Also just right for the fragrance. So no "beast fashion" but rather elegantly restrained. But you will be noticed and it lasts a good 8 hours on me.

Finally, a few words about the presentation. For me, the presentation of the fragrance is perfect. Watching the sunrise over the sea from an island. Catching the first warming rays of sunshine of the day, feet in the sand, while the surf gently awakens the senses. The "packaging" is based on the design of the "Isola Blu (perfume) / Oligarch (perfume) | Roja fragrance" and is really very beautiful. I see the only connection between the two fragrances in the coconut note, which is discreetly incorporated in both. There is no doubt that they are both summer fragrances. The bottle and sprayer are typical Roja in the 50ml design and are a straight 10 for me. I had the "Isola Sol | Roja Parfums" and the "Isola Blu (Parfum) / Oligarch (Parfum) | Roja Parfums" next to each other and it was simply beautiful. It was almost as if "Isola Blu (Parfum) / Oligarch (Parfum) | Roja Parfums" had been given a "little sister". Don't get me wrong, the fragrance is great, certainly wearable as a man, but I personally prefer to smell it on a woman.

Feel free to test it and form your own opinion!
Sunny greetings Micha

Hype victim!
Now I'm writing about a fragrance that doesn't really need to be hyped any further. When I noticed the meteoric rise of "Noble XXI: Art Deco - Blonde Amber | Clive Christian", I simply had to get a sample. Due to the rather high price for only 50ml, I really hoped that I wouldn't like it. I hadn't expected what happened next.
It totally got me! The bottle stayed with me for a week and I was even happy to spend the money! So yes, I fell for the hype!

Let me try to explain why I think the fragrance is so successful. It's very pleasing, easy to wear and yet special enough! It surrounds you all day with a soft, warm veil of fragrance and is not at all overpowering. For my taste, the sillage is perfectly subtle and the longevity is also good. An absolute highlight for the colder months!

The fragrance pyramid is straightforward and that's how I perceive the fragrance. Not incredibly complex and also fairly linear but very finely tuned. I perceive the dried fruits in a similar way to a good fruit tea. The tanka bean is not too sweet here and the amber base is a dream. At first I was worried because I'm not a big fan of tobacco, but here it's very subtle. Throughout the day I also get slight leather vibes even though it's not listed. It goes slightly in the masculine direction. But please don't let that stop you from trying it! Best regards Micha

Fragrance for Kings refined
Hey community, today I would like to share with you my first impression of the new "Jubilation 40 | Amouage". I'm sure it's still a bit early for a detailed review, but if you know the "Jubilation XXV Man | Amouage", the fragrance is not a big surprise! First of all, I would like to thank my best friend who was so kind to bring me this from Dubai! *Fragrance Cloud Seven*. It was already available there from 01.11.. The German release wasn't until 01.12. 2023. I've been wearing the fragrance for 3 weeks now. To anticipate, the "Jubilation 40 | Amouage" does exactly what I expected! Amouage didn't make any huge experiments here, but rounded off the fragrance! You get a "Jubilation XXV Man | Amouage" in a higher fragrance oil concentration of 40%, which is about twice as high as the "Jubilation XXV Man | Amouage". However, Bertrand Duchaufour has definitely tweaked the equalizer a little. Overall, "Jubilation 40 | Amouage" has become more wearable for me. He has turned down the resinous oud notes a little and turned up the sweetness and incense. This makes the fragrance appear "rounder, denser and warmer". I find it similar to the "Reflection Man | Amouage" and the "Reflection 45 | Amouage". These fragrances are definitely among the "quieter fragrances" from Amouage. The sillage is really moderate. For me, however, this is nothing negative, as you can also wear "Jubilation 40 | Amouage" in the office without killing your colleagues. The longevity of the extrait version has been significantly increased! I perceive a subtle cloud of fragrance throughout the day. I can still smell it close to the skin even after 24 hours. But you can also apply 4-5 sprays here.
Overall, I find the fragrance difficult to describe. The individual components are beautifully interwoven. In the opening, you get a subtle fruity note of dark berries and orange. The oud is there right from the start, but for me it is much more subtle than in "Jubilation XXV Man | Amouage". I can also smell rum and incense. Cinnamon and woods also come out well as the fragrance progresses. The certain "smokiness" that the "Jubilation XXV Man | Amouage" has in the drydown is also less in the "Jubilation 40 | Amouage". I also made a direct comparison with "Oud for Greatness | Initio" today. But I don't think they are particularly similar. For me, the "Oud for Greatness | Initio" is much fresher and cooler with less oriental notes.
The "Jubilation 40 | Amouage" is sure to find its fans. I think it's even good for the office. Even if it's a bit too classy and expensive, but you could! It won't be for young people. I see the fragrance on a well-dressed, well-groomed, middle-aged gentleman. For me, the fragrance is still very masculine and sexy. It is definitely also suitable for going out in the evening. If you like oriental fragrances, "Jubilation 40 | Amouage" is definitely a hot test candidate. It certainly won me over and I'm not even the biggest fan of oriental fragrances. I have no words for the bottle and box! I was simply speechless! I also made a little unboxing YouTube short video for you. Unfortunately, the link didn't work and my first text was gone afterwards. But you can find it here if you're interested. I hope I was able to give you a first impression. Best regards Micha

Winter Aventus
First of all, I have to come out as an absolute Aventus fanboy so that you can better assess my rating here. For years, "Aventus | Creed" has been my most worn fragrance. I mainly wear it in fall and winter. In spring and summer, I also love "Aventus Cologne | Creed". Of course, I had to have "Absolu Aventus | Creed" as the third fragrance in the series straight away and ordered it as a pre-order from Creed. It was released on November 1st and I was able to hold the bottle in my hands on November 3rd. Since then, I have worn it practically non-stop and can, I think, make an initial assessment. If you read here, the fragrance is obviously perceived very differently and even the "Aventus disciples" don't only have positive feedback. Does it smell like "Sauvage Elixir | Dior" or like a vintage "Aventus | Creed"? Neither for me! At first I thought it could also be due to the batch variation known from "Aventus | Creed". But if there really are only 5000 bottles of this limited edition, I wonder how many batches there are. I know at least F001389 and F001493 and they are very comparable. If you have any other batches, please post them in the comments. In the meantime, however, I think it's down to personal preference, as the fragrance combines fresh and warm notes.
My personal impression of the fragrance in a nutshell, as in the title, is indeed Winter Aventus. The DNA is still recognizable, but for me it is clearly further away from "Aventus | Creed" than the "Aventus Cologne | Creed". In the opening, you get a nice grapefruit with minimal pineapple. You can also sense ginger and currants. For me, the opening is a dream! Somehow fresh and fruity but still warm, slightly sweet and spicy. Cardamom, pepper and cinnamon blend in beautifully. I find the fragrance progression quite linear. The citrus recedes in the drydown and the base of woods, musk and a little smoke comes to the fore. On my skin, or even on textiles, the durability is relatively good. But the fragrance is certainly not Beastmode. With 5 sprays I perceive it well for about 8 hours, but it lasts for a while after that close to the skin. I find the sillage to be moderate, and it also subsides somewhat after about 3 hours. In my opinion, Creed has done a lot right here. You get a nice, mass-market fragrance for the colder days. For me, a nice addition to the range! It can certainly be worn at work without attracting negative attention. Those who are looking for something unusual, niche or want to stand out will probably be disappointed. I would rather recommend "Hacivat | Nishane".
Two more words about the bottle and price. The bottle is exactly to my taste! The 75 ml fits perfectly in the hand and the black bottle also fits the fragrance perfectly! It looks very high quality with the black full metal cap! I don't really want to say too much about the price. Too high, yes. But if you like the fragrance, you always have to decide for yourself whether it's worth it.

Eternal youth...
In fact, alongside "Boss Bottled (Eau de Toilette) | Hugo Boss" and "Le Mâle (Eau de Toilette) | Jean Paul Gaultier", the normal "Allure Homme Sport (Eau de Toilette) | Chanel" was one of the fragrances of my youth. When the "Allure Homme Sport Eau Extrême | Chanel" came out, I liked it even more! The great sporty DNA is still there. However, the "Allure Homme Sport Eau Extrême | Chanel" is much warmer, more balanced and also more long-lasting. I think it's the perfect signature fragrance for beginners. I have worn it myself for years. It is a perfect "all-purpose weapon" for almost any situation. The fragrance has a subtle sillage and appeals to the masses, so you certainly won't stand out in a negative way. I would recommend it more for younger people. I'm now over 40 myself, but I still love wearing it. It takes me back to my youth, when I loved wearing "Allure Homme Sport (Eau de Toilette) | Chanel". I also had "Allure Homme Édition Blanche (Eau de Parfum) | Chanel" until recently, but I didn't wear it nearly as often. I don't find it quite as universally applicable. For me, "Allure Homme Sport Eau Extrême | Chanel" is simply the best of the range.
And what does it smell like?
I would describe my fragrance experience as follows. The opening is citrusy and fresh, but with a warm note. You can clearly smell the mandarin. I also get that "sparkling, tingling effect" that I love so much about fragrances! I also get this effect with "Accento | XerJoff", for example. I can smell the tonka bean, which gives "Allure Homme Sport Eau Extrême | Chanel" its softness and subtle sweetness, right from the start. The sandalwood is clearly perceptible in the drydown. Pepper and musk are not so present for my nose.
I find the price-performance ratio of the fragrance to be very fair. For example, if you buy the 150ml on offer, you get a very good price/ml. The bottle is also quite reasonable for a designer. But I wouldn't recommend buying it blind. Many people like it, but some might perceive it as too youthful. In any case, that's exactly why I love it!
