The Sheikh from Bavaria?
And again I'm sitting in my office, reminiscing....
Influenced by my first stay in the UAE in 2025, I was constantly searching for THE perfect scent to satisfy my oriental sense of smell.
Professionally, I sell advertising and would claim that I am therefore difficult to manipulate, if not almost impossible. Yet, I stumbled upon one of those Instagram "Dupes," which I ordered (so I am indeed manipulable lol). The opening was so-so, the scent was okay, but it had to be better! So I thought I’d see what the original could do.
A week later, I got to open the EDP from Widian at home...
BAMM!!! A freshly opened jar full of raspberry jam, uh, sorry I meant the EDP Widian London!!!! But that’s what this scent immediately and directly reminds me of after smelling it from the bottle, NOT TOO SWEET.
The combination of raspberry-oud-leather is simply unique and instantly gives me an incredible feeling of trust. If I didn’t know a person but they wore London, I would feel secure. The raspberry clearly dominates this bottle for me, and that’s a good thing!
However, the scent does not have that penetrating, annoying note that many oud fragrances tend to have. There is always an extremely soft scent note that Widian perfectly rounds off, making it so pleasant.
28 degrees in the UAE, I stroll through the impeccably swept streets, listen to the noon prayer, and in front of me walks a sheikh who is richer than I and my next 50 generations will ever be. That’s what you can expect with this EDP.
Longevity? I think you can answer that question yourself. 10 hours and longer. Even after WEEKS, still smelling on clothing after washing.
For some, a winter scent? For me, a clear summer scent, after all, it’s consistently sunny and wonderfully warm in the UAE.

"Sur la Route" on the Coast of Spain
It is midsummer and I am traveling with my wife along the coast of Spain towards Marbella and Malaga. While I can't say that Marbella is one of the most beautiful holiday destinations on the southern coast of Spain, the LV store is a dream...
Once again, I caught myself "just taking a quick look," and there they stood like tin soldiers, the most beautiful bottles there are.
Sur la Route, as the name suggests, "to be on the way" or "on a journey," was convincing enough for me to buy the bottle on our two-week trip from Spain to Portugal.
At first whiff, the scent smells as if you are opening a 0.33l ice-cold glass bottle filled with Sprite - and you must know one thing, I LOVE Sprite.
On my skin, this fragrance unfolds like a flavor explosion... So many citrusy teenage notes that it is really difficult to describe. Sometimes I even catch a slight hint of vanilla, but really just minimal. For me, it rounds off the note a little better. Compliments are rather absent with this scent, but I fundamentally don't care, as I want to keep a story and especially the moments behind my fragrances in memory.
-my fragrances are my tattoos-
It’s summer, you’re wearing a linen shirt or a linen blouse and want to enjoy a glass of wine spritzer in the city with your loved ones in the evening? Then this scent is a must-have for anyone who loves citrusy and unusual fragrances... Because one thing it truly is: UNUSUAL! Like all LV fragrances, it is simply unique and incomparable to any other.
The only thing that "bothers" me about this EDP, and with LV I have usually only had good experiences, is the longevity... Unfortunately, it fades away for me after about 4-5 hours. It’s a shame, as this perfume has so much good to offer.
Hopefully, summer will come soon...

Perfect, More Perfect, LV Imagination!
We are in the year 2019...
I moved to Munich to be with my girlfriend. For the first time surrounded by luxury, status symbols, and Louis Vuitton. I have always valued good fragrances. My fragrance palette until then was Douglas: Dior, Chanel, Gucci... You know, what one wears when not in the niche game (not meant negatively or subtly)...
Surrounded by marketing, manipulation, and impressions...
Louis Vuitton Store, Maximilianstraße, Munich. The first exhibition of about 5-6 fragrances from the line. It smiles at me. The bottle is as simple as it could possibly be. But still so elegant! "Try me, take a sniff, for I will be the scent that changes your life forever...."
And so it happened: Even though LV Imagination is now "only" in 2nd place in my ENTIRE fragrance collection (1st place is LV Stellar Times), this perfume embodies for me the perfection of how a man or woman can/should smell. It is now the third bottle I own, and it was my entry into the niche fragrance game.
From the first spray to the dry down, the citrus and bergamot are clearly in the foreground for me. A scent like this had not existed in any way until that point. And even after 7 years, I can assure you: There is no fragrance for which I have received more compliments than with Imagination.
Whether man or woman, whether pedestrian passage, bar, club, conference room, client meeting, or family members. No matter when, no matter where, and no matter how, I will (it's really not a lie) ALWAYS be approached about this scent, asking what I am wearing "again" today.
There are now so many opinions and reviews about this fragrance, but I wanted to share my little story about what this perfume means to me and why I can only recommend that everyone invest in this bottle.
Even clothes that you might wear again the next day are marked by this scent.
Normally, I should get a commission (lol), as now 8 more people from my close circle have bought the fragrance because they were just as overwhelmed as I was.
...Back then as a 24-year-old, inexperienced, growing man, standing in front of the LV store for the first time and actually wanting to "just look."
Please buy it for yourselves!
Thank you all.

Don't think, just buy! Best blind buy
Guys...
Get it! For just about €20, such a composition?
My first fragrance from the house of Lattafa. I got to smell it for the first time at my colleague's place and was really blown away...
Sure, it's only for oud fans and lovers of the Orient, but if you are, just buy it and don't read reviews or think too much. It's this overpoweringly sweet oud scent with a hint of cinnamon that lingers in the air. I wear this fragrance all year round and personally prefer it even in summer. I had it with me during my stay in Dubai last year and was even approached multiple times by locals there. I believe you can't get more validation than that with such an affordable fragrance.
And the bottle? Come on... I have much more expensive bottles at home that look SIGNIFICANTLY more boring. I also believe that "the eye smells too" when it comes to fragrances.
Who among the 90s kids remembers Big Red by Wrigley's? I don't know why, but I think it's the sweet cinnamon note that reminds me so strongly of that flavor. That doesn't mean you walk around like a walking piece of gum; quite the opposite!
It combines maturity, experience, extravagance, and contemplation. For me personally, the best blind buy I've made in my 7 years of fragrance experience. Again, just about €20!
Just get it and see for yourself.

Indescribably masculine…
Where do I begin? Oh right!
It was a normal office day in January 2025 in my sales job, and I was waiting for my colleague who was returning from his annual Christmas vacation in Oman.
No "Hello," no "good morning," just a smile on my lips, and he immediately knew what was going on. There was this brutal incense note in the air paired with sweetness and a fir forest.
Bought! Worn! In love! A masterpiece if "man" values status symbols and uniqueness. Price-wise, of course, as is known with Amouage fragrances, unfortunately, above average, which I now (unfortunately) see as only secondary.
How does the scent affect others? CAUTION! Here opinions can differ based on personal experiences, and quite literally, tastes are simply different, which principle could not fit this fragrance better. My sister's statement: I smell like a buffalo herd to whether I had bathed in old incense?!
Short hole golf course, tee shot hole 5, 174m to the flag. Lukewarm spring evening, you can smell the damp grass and hear the absolute silence! A friend's girlfriend is at the tee - short pause, then her question: "Sorry guys, but who among you has such an incredibly soft and extravagant scent today?" She comes over to me and smells: WOW, darling, you need this too!
And for me, as I have also been told, it’s simply this warm, soft wood-incense note that still stands out so pleasantly intrusive in the foreground, which is why I now enjoy wearing this perfume in any season!
Amouage Purpose 50 is the reason why I love wearing and owning niche fragrances, simply because you stand out from the crowd and want to be different!
