A white dwarf in dark matter
If I have to pick a signature scent from any of the scents in my current collection, it would be this one. To me, it’s one of the most perfect fragrances I’ve ever come across. And Stellar Times is actually the perfect name for a scent as intergalactic as this.

ST is an orange blossom dipped in resinous peru balsam. Think of the orange blossom as the brightest speck of a hot star, burning in the dark matter of the universe. A white dwarf, freely existing in the time-space continuum of forever. The white amber acts as a veil for the contrast between light of the flower, and dark of the balsam. It’s unlike any other orange blossom scent I’ve ever come across. And I am utterly obsessed.

This baby also packs a major punch (as is expected from the LV Extrait line), with a very strong, sweeping sillage and longevity for literally weeks (on clothes anyway!). At this point, Stellar Times is one of my most complimented scents and I have to be careful wearing it out cause it does attract unwanted attention lolololol.

One of the absolute best from the LV Extrait line (next to Symphony) and my orange blossom addiction. Worth every expensive penny that it costs. Shoot this into my veins!!!

Nice.. but forgettable
Yeap! I'd hate to admit it. There's tons of women's and unisex fragrances that smell way better than this, and for fractions of the bizzare price of this fragrance.

I like the fragrance yeah, but I feel like Jacques was just lazy to further develop a scent which holds such great promise of amber, orange blossom and peru balsam.

I mostly get the amber with the balsamic notes while the white floral is deep in the background.

I mean even Dior's Hypnotic Poison has better character than this. It feels like it's taking you somewhere but it stops hardly before the journey takes off.

Don't pay retail, try, get a sample and see whether you might actually like this better than I.

Times fly by too soon...
Not gonna suggest this to anyone because of the lasting and absolutely zero sillage at least for me. Scent plays important role when another person can smell it too or at least you can smell on yourself after few hours but that's not the case with this one...at least with me.
But as I say "SCENT is always subjective", so I think you should go ahead and try it on yourself first maybe let it sit on you for a while and then make a decision.

Soapy Sandalwood with a splash of Ginger and Orange Blossom
Hi there!

Stellar Times by Louis Vuitton is a single-accord [linear] composition. The main accord consists of Ambroxan, Sandalwood and White Musk with transparent Jasmine and green Rose elements to provide some airiness. These 5 elements make a voluminous body that is dressed up in a very minimalistic gown of Ginger, Orange Blossom and sweet Amber. So, it's a kinda "The Emperor's New Clothes" situation and "1+1=3". This is where industry's best perfumers shine - they create beautiful and extremely cost-effective compositions that most of us get fascinated with.

Combination of Sandalwood and Ambroxan with a hint of Ginger reminded me of the Bvlgari Tygar at first. However, there is an interesting top note here which I can't determine. It reminds me of something bread-like or even vegetal-like alongside with some waxiness. Think of a laundry soap. At first, I was off-put by this weird fuzzy note, but now I like it for this unique effect. Do you know what it is? Maybe it's a kind of Ginger raw material, I have no idea...

Stellar Times consists mainly of base notes and thus could be deceptively powerful, so easy on the trigger. Projection is moderate, while silage and longevity are just stellar!

Stellar Times ~ Elysium*
What's the best way to start... Speechlessness...
Stellar Times, what makes you so special?

Every parfumo has a passion for fragrances, some more, some less. But we all somehow have the same "goal":
To find the holy grail, the one fragrance
- that makes you float,
- that gives daily compliments,
- that nobody knows, where everyone wants to know what you're wearing,
- an underdog, made just for you.
(everyone should know it: wearing the new fragrance that arrived by DHL yesterday lunchtime the next day and desperately hoping that someone will approach you while shopping, at work or in a restaurant and ask, "May I ask what perfume you are wearing? Wow, you smell extremely good!")

So..., and what if I now say that this one exists? Well, it's kind of hard to believe... but it does exist. Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud has managed to create another highly complex work of art in addition to his countless ingenious creations (such as Imagination or Afternoon Swim).
But now once again the question, why? What makes it so special?

The fragrance:
Indescribable, in the truest sense of the word. But I'll give it a try:
Clean orange blossom, slightly sweet amber bedded on very fine, soft wood. Chords of Peru balsam round it off masterfully. Nevertheless, the interplay of these notes is indefinable for me.

Luxurious, creamy, heavenly, clean, sexy, sweet-floral, delicate, perfection
Fragrance progression:
So simple, and yet so highly complex
It sounds a little bizarre, somehow it remains linear, but somehow it becomes finer and more luxurious from time to time. As if something is "born" on the skin when it is freshly sprayed on, and continues to develop until the fragrance turns from a newborn, to a teenager, to a mature adult.

Shelf life/sillage:
Just right, as it should be. It lasts 10 - 12 hours on the skin and even longer on clothing, for days. It is perfectly perceptible, always present, but never too overpowering. It sometimes has a slight hint of a molecular fragrance, sometimes you can smell it for meters.

Target group:
Clearly tends towards the feminine. Nevertheless 100% unisex wearable. I can even imagine the fragrance causing more of a stir on a man. The calling card, the first encounter, the first impression of a person is clearly the scent in addition to the appearance. When Stellar Times is worn by a woman or a man, pure elegance automatically surrounds the wearer.

Price:
Well, normally I would say completely overpriced. Half a grand is a house number. But is that really the case?
Are we still talking about a normal, very good perfume here, or is it more than that? I have to say quite clearly that the price is just right. However, it's still quite hard on normal mortals' wallets at first, even for me.
But let's assume you buy this fragrance. The following questions immediately spring to mind:

1. When do I wear this fragrance and what is it good for? 2. How much do I apply and how long does it last?
3. What else could I buy for the money?

Quite simply answered:

1. For special occasions (wedding, date night, special customer appointment, palazzo evening,...)
and if you want to have a very special aura/royal shaki around you -> so NO pure
Daily
2. H/S are outstanding, so maximum 2 - 3, in exceptional cases 4 - 5 sprays. Converted
that is one bottle / every 5 - 7 years
3. (e.g. a wellness weekend for two people; a PS5; a huge jukebox for
Party evenings) Yes, you could buy these things for a comparable price. But for me
or even the first two questions after a moment's thought.

The added value of this fragrance is so enormous, giving off this aura for over half a decade, significantly more than the () bracketed examples of the same price.
Tastes are notoriously different. In my euphoric way, I would now say if I am totally enthusiastic or convinced by something: "Anyone who doesn't like Stellar Times has not understood the fragrance."

In conclusion, I can only say. The key words for Stellar Times are:

Luxurious, Heavenly, Perfection ~ Elysium*
(*Elysium means "state of perfect happiness")

The rich relative of Signature Eau de Parfum. Powderiness in Signature is very synthetic. In Stellar Times, it's uplifting.

The notes suggest a rather simple scent, but no! Totally unique, powdery sweet and balsamic fragrance with fairground vibes
