Flower explosion and much more
It’s one of those perfumes that feels alive, like it changes mood on your skin throughout the day.
Right after you spray it, a big, bright, sunny floral bursts out. Soon after, a more narcotic side kicks in.
The tuberose isn’t white, fresh, and innocent: it’s warm, intense, carnal, indolic, and together with the jasmine it feels like they could wipe everything out… and yet… they’re stunning together, just like this. Heliotrope adds a creamy nuance, but it’s kept pretty quiet here.
After about half an hour, Adjatay turns hypnotic: here comes the leather! Not loud, not “brand-new jacket” leather—this is soft, worn-in leather that seems to warm up as it touches the skin. There’s a gorgeous creamy, woody base, and now I’m picking up some really beautiful smoky notes, with an intriguing, carnal trail.
It’s an androgynous fragrance in the most elegant sense of the word, perfect for anyone who loves scents that refuse to be boxed in. Stunning!
Wishing everyone a lovely end and a great new beginning!!

Another amazing woody luxury SPA gift by Rituals
Got this along with a huge gift box of other Rituals products, a brand I pretty much love everything they offer. It had been a while though since I sniffed any of their new goodies. This fragrance is delicious—I got it in oil form (which I adore). Let me tell you what it's like: super sensual, citrusy, and spicy. It starts with a spicy, woody burst, but don’t worry, it’s not the Christmas-scented kind like cinnamon, ginger, marzipan, or candied fruits… (god, no). I get a lot of sandalwood and citrus, which gives it a nice fresh kick! It's sweet and balsamic (maybe anise?), but that anise isn't overpowering, I’ll admit. As for the floral notes, it’s all pretty dark and earthy: there's gaggiolo-orris root (I saw it listed on the official website), which I hadn’t heard of before, and turns out it’s the "sister" of iris. It definitely brings earthy, powdery vibes with some green undertones... at least that’s how it smells on me!
Not sure if it’s just a feeling Rituals always gives me, but Velvet Aura also has that luxe spa vibe. I think it comes off a bit more masculine (go smell it you guys!!), but it’s sooo beautiful, I’ll probably even put it in my ears :-D

Fluffy juicy and mature scent
It boasts a very interesting evolution. Let’s start with the opening: sandalwood and super ripe, juicy apricot — not bright or tart, but pulpy, creamy, and absolutely enjoyable because it doesn’t go full gourmand. The spices are light and hinted at, warmer rather than sharp. They add depth without breaking the harmony.
After about 20–30 minutes, the sandalwood becomes much thicker. It turns round and silky, bringing with it an almost lactonic sensation (I swear I’m not crazy, I really smell it), like clean, warm skin. This is when the fragrance becomes super fluffy.
As time goes by, the apricot loses its initial juiciness and turns into a soft, sweet echo… I start picking up incense-like notes, and even licorice (???)!
This is a fragrance that doesn’t aim for sharp contrasts, but for continuity. Warm, creamy, spicy, with that lactonic nuance that makes it comforting and relaxing.
Longevity is surprisingly medium to high, especially compared to other Jo Malone scents (clear-bottle ones).
I don’t find it similar to either Sunshine Woman or Kenzo Jungle ; at most, it reminds me of Vanille Abricot , but only in its sweet/fruity soul — it has the same kind of sweetness and softness.

Spicy yet fresh, warm yet luminous
On paper it promises warmth and density, but on skin it surprises with a fresh, spicy, juicy opening — at least at first! It’s almost as if there were mint, verbena, petitgrain, galbanum… that kind of vibe. So yeah, imagine a spicy yet fresh opening. Wow.
The incense–saffron–rose trio is quite soft (on the official website it says “rose petals, saffron powder and delicate incense”… so maybe the light touch is intentional). They definitely add an oriental nuance without shouting, and without falling into something already overdone.
Now, the woods: the oud I get here is in a completely different category compared to the warm, dark ouds we often enjoy sniffing. This one feels clean and polished, just like the patchouli, which has none of that earthy effect (). Zero vanilla to my nose.
What can I say — I like it. It plays on well-balanced contrasts: spicy yet fresh, warm yet luminous.

The smell of certainties in life
It DOES represent the lilac fragrance. Extremely creamy and velvety. I also get lots of musky nuances, coming from I’m not even sure what. The white florals are quite soft, at least for the first hour. The vetiver is there, but it stays in the background: it supports and balances the composition, though I personally would have liked it to be more present. Amazing sillage and projection.
Lilac always brings a sense of nostalgia for me, but here there’s also a strong feeling of serenity. It’s a comforting, sweet fragrance — a true cocooning scent. It smells like reliability, like quiet certainties in life.
I think it works best in cold or cool weather, definitely not in the heat. If you love lilac, you really can’t skip this one!
