Monster cherry musk for diehard noses
The brightest and icy-est cherry ever tested before. It is often coupled with amber, boozy notes, almonds.. here we have a cherry macchiato in spring!!! A super joyful, sparkling musk and a gloriouslt triumphant cherry.
What left me flabbergasted: duration, projection, sillage—Obscene! It lasts for 2-3 days on clothes . Hear me out with this story: as soon as I got home some days ago, 8pm, I put my jacket on the hanger.. Could you ever believe me that the perfume aromatized the area around the house entrance? I sprayed the perfume at 07:30am on my sweater and not on scarf or jacket. The nice thing is that it is not annoying. After all, why should a delicious cherry musk scent give the needle? :-)
All this above to tell you how it projects and what a lovely cloud it releases..
Perfect for the seasons to come, more feminine-leaning.
Beautiful perfume and my first Monegal in the collection. What about the other Monegala? Do they last that long?

Of Lolitas and UFOs
Strawberry punch, fruit punch, cherry bubblegum, pink lollipop, pouty lips, freshly washed curls, fine little Sunday dress.

Lolita stretches and poses. She nudges her little nose into the world, wraps silly boys around her little finger and the big boys around her lollipop. Her favorite phrase is: "No, let’s not!" and her favorite pastime is gossiping and putting on makeup. Ah, how wonderful puberty is. And how wonderfully it can be with Cherry Musk. Cherry Musk is a linear-pubertizing scent for the linear-pubertizing girl who smells far too sweet, far too provocative, far too fruity, and far too much like freshly washed laundry. Too much of everything. Way too much. And that right away!

Even the opening of Cherry Musk hits me with scent molecules through my nose, making my delicate nasal hairs bristle and my earlobes curl. Sweeeeet. I get a toothache. Strawberry and cherry and rose. Fruity fresh laundry rose with sugar. Following that comes a full blast of ozone for the clean girl image. The Sunday dress gets sprayed with cherry starch for minutes and then twisted through the wringer until it comes out hot, steaming, clean, stiff, and freshly starched. Steam and heat and fruit and sweet. I need an asthma spray for this. It’s a strange mix. Synthetic fruity sweet, hot and steaming, rosy and as fresh as the White Giant laundry on a mile-long clothesline. Somehow science fiction...

Cherry Musk confuses me and I can't find an entry point. The Lolita wanders through the world strangely soulless. Irritatingly aimless and conceptless. I can’t wrap my head around who could wear such a scent, except for a 14-year-old girl with a lollipop in her mouth and an innocent look but with a pouting red mouth. A very narrowly defined target audience. Just as the imbalance of Cherry Musk confuses me, I am astonished by the fact that Ramon Monegal has such a "young," very sweet, fruity, and absolutely polished clean scent in his collection at all. It seems almost like a playful diversion next to such grand and profound compositions like Entre Naranjos or Umbra, something he might even chuckle about himself. So glaringly bright, ozone-like, and fruity fresh, as Cherry Musk smiles back at me from my skin, it can only be that way.

Maybe Cherry Musk is really science fiction and I just live in the wrong time. I certainly wouldn’t be surprised if I go to sleep with Cherry Musk on my wrist and at some point tonight a UFO lands next to me...

What a little fruit ;-)
The discerning reader has probably already recognized that "Musk" and I belong together like the sun and the moon, Laurel & Hardy, Miss Piggy and Kermit, and so on.......

That's exactly why I'm super happy that there is finally a perfume artist who seems to master the game with musk brilliantly.

So now we have "Cherry Musk." Admittedly, I could hardly imagine what that would be like. I know the scent of strawberries and cherries and appreciate both - but rather as a dessert or cake.....but in combination with musk? Never ever!

But what the heck....trying is known to be better than studying. And then, once again, the "Monegal fragrance miracle" happened.....similar to Florblanca, I initially smell only cherries and alcohol (but not like in "Mon Chérie," which I also like very much, by the way). The alcohol dissipates super quickly for me, and then it becomes sweeter (I suspect due to the strawberries and roses?), before the musk takes the stage, everything gently, velvety, and soft, wrapped in a touch of bitter freshness that remains until the end. I suspect that the "bitter freshness" has something to do with men's skin.

I really like the scent, as I can wear it in summer - the slight bitter freshness prevents it from being too sweet for me and thus doesn't overwhelm my surroundings. Great, musk in summer, my heart rejoices!!

Now all that's missing is summer.....

Daring Experiment
Cherries, especially the crunchy heart cherries but particularly the black cherries, have captivated me. I am already looking forward to cherry season in summer during the winter when they are available again. The smell and taste of cherries is simply incomparable.
That’s why I consider it a daring experiment to combine the wonderfully fruity scent of cherries with musk. Ramón Monegal has succeeded in this experiment!

At the start, it smells like cherry liqueur; once the alcohol note fades away, it is only the scent of very ripe sweet cherries. After a few minutes, the musk accord joins in, making the cherry scent sweet and admittedly very erotic. I am overwhelmed by how interesting and enticing such a fragrance can be. There is no further change in the course; the scent remains the same until it fades away.

The sillage is good, but not overpowering, and the longevity is also quite good.

Although I would never wear this fragrance, I enjoy this cherry-musk scent on my skin, especially today, on this gray, windy, and totally rainy day. Anyone who likes cherries will likely be enchanted by this fragrance.

Cherries and Musk - A liaison for eternity on my skin?
I suspect that I would never have considered Cherry Musk if the saleswoman hadn't pointed it out to me. Musk is totally my thing. But cherries? Unimaginable! I don't like the overly lush berries like La petite Robe noir by Guerlain on myself. In my opinion, they belong on the plate and not on the skin. I feel the same way about cherries. Nevertheless, tastes vary, and that's a good thing.

At first, Cherry Musk reminded me of a subtly fruity berry shower gel. Very soft and by no means as intrusive as other fruit bombs (Yes, Tresor Midnight Rose, I'm talking about you!). The cherry doesn't dominate, but it's noticeable. Delicious in combination with blackcurrant! Still quite insignificant. At first.
After about half an hour, the musk makes its grand entrance. The scent changes. From girly shower gel, it transforms into a grown-up, fruity elegant fragrance.
The term "fragrance" is deliberately chosen here, as the sillage does not have a far-reaching character, but it beautifully surrounds me. The longevity is very good; just a few spritzes in the morning provide me with comfort until the evening hours. Especially on days when dark clouds adorn the horizon.
The development into this musk-heavy little fruit was a buying argument for me, as I have not smelled such a scent before. It is not a clean scent. Nor is it a going-out scent. It is something in between.
As a fan of layering, I experimented a bit to see what else could be drawn from it. It is worth noting that it works well with other fragrances. In combination with the Chloé EdT, a very interesting scent emerged, which then leans more towards the clean direction. With more pronounced notes like oud, vetiver, or coffee, quite exciting combinations can be achieved.
Is it unique? I believe so; at least I haven't come across a similar composition yet. Is it worth the money? Opinions differ on that. It is pleasant to smell and cozy. It may be made from high-quality essences. However, I miss the edges. It lacks depth, the final twist. When considering the price range in which this fragrance is situated, there are several compositions that are significantly more interesting. For purely practical reasons, I find the flacon quite unsuccessful. The non-removable cap makes it rather unwieldy when spraying. Nevertheless, it feels valuable.

The question arises: Is the fragrance a revelation? No. For people who have an aversion to berry scents and cherries in fragrances but want to venture into new territory, they should definitely test it! For me, it's a great scent that I enjoy smelling. However, it will not be a candidate for repurchase.

Initially a little tipsy, then fruity-powdery. The cherry is quiet and slight artificially, but the delicate fruits have their originality.

Sour, liqueur-like cherries + indifferent fruits = fruit cream through musk, true protagonist: aromatic black currant jam.

Beautiful fruity-sweet musk scent, but for me it's more for women than unisex!!! Definitely worth a try!!! :-)

Cream-cherry-lolly. Artificial, yet delicious. Not a daily scent or it gets sticky. Becomes soft-musk-fruity on the skin.

Smells a bit like paper, soaked in musk and soft cherry liqueur. An interesting combo for lovers of experimental blends.

What a shame, such beautiful bottles and then such a taste misstep. Musk and cherry *ugh* that hurts.

Oh, the name sounded dreamy. Unfortunately, it was first bitter, then clean sweet without any excitement. Musk and artificial strawberry.

A summery and uplifting, yet not overly cheerful cherry (or fruit) musk scent that feels like a breath of fresh air + needs hardly any sweetness.
