Oud Unikat
The
Opus XV - King Blue has always been something special for me, even if it can be challenging due to its animalic notes - the more I test (including high-quality Oud distillates), the more convinced I become.
This is an Oud fragrance of top quality that truly stands out as a unique creation through its blending with amber, incense, and sour fruits.
Oud/Rose is available by the thousands. Oud/Raspberry seems to be popular - but something like this is one of a kind.
Over time, many Amouage fragrances become diluted and weaker - try this future hype fragrance now to understand why people are always so crazy about old Amouage batches. Depth, complexity, quality, longevity - this has it all.
But be warned - those who put their nose directly to the skin after spraying will not be able to warm up to this fragrance; however, those who can wait until the dry-down begins will be massively rewarded.

Comparison to the EDP
As an owner and fan of the original "Encens Suave (Eau de Parfum) | Matière Première," I was very curious to test the new Extrait in detail - so I participated in one of the first sharings here.
Now I have been able to test both fragrances side by side - my conclusion is relatively simple - the Extrait simply offers a little bit more of everything.
Frankincense feels more high-quality - but it also comes across as brighter/sacred (not everyone likes that, but I do). Vanilla feels rounder, warmer, more natural - also more beautiful.
The H/S also feels a bit higher (which wasn't bad in the old one) - one has to decide for oneself whether that is a positive aspect - many people don’t like frankincense…
Directly next to each other, I find the Extrait a bit more beautiful, but when worn separately, I find them almost equal for myself.
If I didn't have the original, I would consider getting the Extrait (on sale - the price is already high…) - as an owner of the original - it’s not necessary at all.

Very beautiful Oud-Vanilla scent
Oud in its softest form, without edges or roughness - underpinned by light vanilla/caramel that never comes off as too sweet. A hint of smoke adds to it - somehow dark but beautiful.
Very harmoniously blended, it does not smell synthetic at all despite the fair price.
A truly beautiful scent that works for me at any time, definitely unisex.
I must get this! Bravo.

Super Rounded
After trying this scent as a sample, then as an AF - finally also in a bottle. Every time I wear it - I find it more beautiful.
It's as if
Jubilation XXV Man and
Ganymede Eau de Parfum had a child.
Deep, woody, slightly smoky, subtle saffron, yet somehow light and for me - even slightly fruity.
But like with
Jubilation XXV Man everything is just super rounded, high-quality, and masterfully blended. Possibly a new signature scent. Classy.

In the True Souk
As someone who has traveled a lot - I especially enjoy when a fragrance manages to transport me to another place.
This was the case with Labyrinth of Spices. Transported to the souk/bazaar in Istanbul where one treats themselves to a Turkish mocha after a bit of browsing.
A mega realistic mocha coffee scent with a blend of spices that lasts forever. Another hit for me from Alghabra.
