The Mountain Standing Still Floraïku 2018

This is the second Floraïku perfume I've sampled and this feels again confusing and a bit over-the-top edgy. This is a very green scent as far as green scents go, but instead of feeling herbaceous it feels a bit all over the place.

The opening of the scent is a downright brutal bitter and sour mix of nonsense. Considering most modern perfumes bank heavily on the opening being the most appealing note, this is a downright bold move. Thankfully it doesn't stay that way for long, evolving into a creamy slightly sweet vetiver drenched in cheeky tobacco and opulent oud. I rarely like oud in perfumes, but it feels appropriate in this composition.

The performance is okay as far as green fragrances go, the scent stays close to the skin for half a day. In general, it feels like a great, albeit a bit boring green sour-ish tealike perfume. The opening is diabolical though.

Simply amazing. I first came to Floraiku because of the beautiful bottle designs - then had the opportunity to try some fragrances.

The Mountain Standing Still is simply a masterpiece for me.

Tea, Oud very clearly - but also completely different fleeting nuances that constantly change throughout. Unique.

It brings a calmness within. Takes you on a distant journey - and yes, it also receives compliments. Bravo.
