It's beautiful what pleases
"Renaissance | XerJoff" is a refreshing fragrance that reflects the flair of Italy in an elegant perfume. It is a scent that combines modern sophistication with classic citrus notes, making it perfect for summer everyday wear.
The opening of Renaissance is like a trip to a lemon grove on a warm, sunny morning. Juicy bergamot, lemon, and mandarin dance on the skin, offering an intense and energetic freshness that initially strikes me as quite tart.
These zesty citrus notes are incredibly clear and natural, which makes the fragrance refreshing and invigorating. An opening that evokes Mediterranean summer days.

Once the citrus notes have faded a bit, the mint gives Renaissance a cool, almost green freshness that integrates beautifully into the overall picture. It brings a certain lightness to the scent, while the rose adds a subtle, floral sophistication. The balance between freshness and elegance makes this part of the fragrance development particularly wonderful.

In the base, Renaissance then reveals its more mature side. Amber, musk, and cedarwood provide a warm and almost beautifully sweet base that gives the fragrance a lasting and pleasant depth. The scent remains fresh and lively throughout its entire evolution.
The sillage is decent, making it an ideal companion for everyday life and special occasions without being intrusive. The longevity is also - especially for a fresh fragrance - really great. It stays present for several hours without losing character.

If you are looking for a light scent that combines freshness and sophistication.. here you go.

Especially in the warmer months, Renaissance is an ideal everyday companion that envelops its wearer in a feeling of Italian joie de vivre. A fragrance that works excellently for both men and, indeed, for women, and scores points with its versatility.

"Starlight Express…
…I need you now
And wish you were here”

As if the lines were written for this fragrance.
Starlight has made me addicted. One of those scents that you can't stop sniffing at your wrist.
It starts with a very dominant cardamom. Really very dominant. Reminds me a bit of LNDL Bleu Electrique.
Pretty quickly, the cardamom eases up and the cinnamon and almond join in. It becomes increasingly sweeter and "softer." The longer it stays on the skin, the creamier it gets. I find parallels to Amber Star developing in the dry down, but it is constantly accompanied by a warm spiciness. However, it is not as Christmas-like as some comments might suggest - no comparison to Angels Share or Oajan (in terms of Christmas vibes)
A beautiful winter scent that also fits perfectly in the autumn.
Unfortunately, I find the longevity a bit lacking.. I would have liked to have you a little longer.

All in all, a great recommendation for the cold season.

The Embracing Sam
By chance, I stumbled upon Blazing Mr Sam. The bottle and the presentation looked simply super elegant and luxurious. The fragrance pyramid also sounded promising. And what can I say... a wonderfully beautiful combination of cardamom, cinnamon, and tobacco sets the tone from the start, yet Sam never feels oppressive, heavy, or too spicy from the outset.. on the contrary, I find that despite the spicy notes, it actually brings a bit of freshness with it. Perfect for everyday use or at work. Even though I mainly see it in autumn/winter, I can also imagine it in spring or even on a cooler summer evening.
The longevity is not breathtaking but still okay.
Definitely worth a try.

An Afternoon by the Pool
The Afternoon Swim by LV is one of the fruitiest, freshest scents I know and simply pure summer.
I got a sample some time ago and have worn it occasionally, and each time I was blown away, but it really knocked me off my feet during last summer's vacation... in the morning after getting up for breakfast and then heading to the beach/pool. The daily ritual of an all-inclusive vacationer. One morning I just felt like wearing this scent, sprayed it on, and then went down to the pool; the sun was shining, the temperatures were rising, and along with that, this fresh, orangey mandarin in my nose... I was blown away by this combination, and since then, Afternoon Swim has become the epitome of a vacation scent for me. Only the rather modest longevity/sillage has held me back from purchasing it so far, as I expect a bit more for the hefty price than it ultimately delivers.
Moreover, the scent progression is relatively linear... it smells amazing, but it is also somewhat simple.
Overall, the AS is an incredibly beautiful scent for summer, but unfortunately also more suited for a thick wallet.

Nomadic Shadow
.. where this fragrance behaves less like a shadow and more like a forward surge, signaling to everything and everyone: here I come.
The Ombre Nomade is a special scent that is as annoying as it is breathtaking. Hated by many, loved by many, I know hardly any fragrance that polarizes as much. At first, I couldn't find much to appreciate in ON; I didn't think it was bad, but also not particularly good. My girlfriend still hates it to this day (“the worst perfume you have”).
By now, I love it more and more. This oriental rose-oud combination (as I've smelled countless times before), I also perceive a hint of leather. The incense gives it a nice depth in combination and makes it almost mystical.. strange that I say this about a perfume, but somehow this word comes to mind. The raspberry rounds it off with a subtle fruitiness.
Longevity and sillage are nuclear. Even an Arabians Tonka would have to pack it up. Fragrances generally last less long on my skin, but ON can still be detected the next day, and that is really intense.
LVMH mercilessly drives the price of this perfume towards absolute pain threshold. However, considering that with two sprays you can fog an entire residential area, it becomes clear that the bottle will probably suffice for 1-2 human lives. The application purpose is also relatively limited; it's not a scent for every day and for heaven's sake, please not in the
office and certainly not at the gym. If you're going out and want to stand out, then this fragrance is a good choice. Hate it or love it. For me, it's the latter.
