Turathi Blue... how did it all start with us?
I saw this fragrance (probably like many others) in countless YouTube videos.. it was featured in almost every list of summer fragrances.. since I don't always fully trust all this chatter and didn't want another blind buy sitting in my cabinet that I wouldn't use (though at that price it wouldn't be too tragic) I got myself a small sample and upon the first spray, it was clear to me: a blind buy would have turned out 100% positive.. I didn't even finish the sample before I had already ordered it.. under 25€ for 90 ml of this delicious concoction? I thought it couldn't be serious.. but well.. let's just be happy that there are such great fragrances available at low prices :)
About the scent itself: The citrus in the opening is not a typical lemon, I find you can immediately smell the mandarin.. but not overpowering, rather beautifully rounded by amber and musk.. simply wonderful.. in the further development not much changes, but does it have to? it just smells consistently great
I've heard comparisons to "Fanta Mandarine," and hmm.. yes, I can somewhat understand that, but again.. is that bad? no, Fanta Mandarine is also great.
Personally, I would even dare to compare it to
Afternoon Swim as both emphasize the mandarin very strongly.. maybe the LV has a bit more depth, but in terms of price/performance, Turathi is obviously miles ahead..
Sillage and longevity are average to good with Turathi.. with citrus summer fragrances, you generally don't expect too much.. but it performs quite well, and at that price for 90 ml, you can gladly reapply after a few hours.
Finally, a few words about the presentation.. the bottle is very heavy and high-quality! The cap is not magnetic but fits the overall picture.. and yes, the packaging is simply amazing for the price you pay..
All in all, MY summer hit this year.. may the hot days come!
