Maybe we'll get somewhere...
Years ago, I had Blazer under my nose and didn't really warm to the scent. Somehow I couldn't get over it, as it contains almost everything I like. Ergo was kind enough to send me another sample, thank you dear.

But even years later, I still find Blazer a little difficult. The beginning is spicy, slightly citrusy and quickly turns into a green-herbaceous heart note, mint is predominant here, juniper gives a tart, fresh note. Clove simmers in the distance. This could be perfect if I didn't have a humanizing note - a note of sweat - in my nose, which makes the fragrance warmer but also slightly musty. My guess is cardamom, which is not in it according to the description. This note fades towards the base, ambergris gives a resinous warmth and the fragrance has a woody finish. In my opinion, Blazer is not very floral, more of a green-spicy chypre. I actually like the fragrance better on the second and third test, maybe I'll be in love by the fourth test, who knows..

The longevity is remarkable for a concentrated cologne, some EDPs could take a leaf out of their book, the sillage is well perceptible, but not room-filling. I can well imagine Blazer on an English country lady, tweed jacket with arm patches and peaty rubber boots, a basket of home-cut Gloria Dei and herbs from the vegetable garden in one hand, a riding crop in the other. And of course the landlord too, but sitting in front of the fireplace with Arco the German Wirehair and an old Scotch. I like the latter idea better ...

Performance of a diva
Drum roll, the diva arrives. She stands glistening brightly in the spotlight on the stairs, aldehydes escort her to the stage. The tuberose ensnares her on the way, the garden carnation vies for attention, the rose and jasmine extras applaud. Fine spicy soap peeps around the corner, drowned out by patchouli and oakmoss. The curtain falls, the stage is in darkness. White Diamonds whispers in the theater aisles for days, even without the diva.

Now it's a short comment instead of a statement. I must love White Diamonds, lots in it that I like. I've tried it several times with a sniff, to no avail, it never became love, but no hate either, I call it respect.

A fragrance that should be well dosed, wearable for seasoned women, I rather exclude guys here, but if you want, try it... By the way, the bottle is high-quality and tasteful, worthy of a diva. I prefer Passion, the purple bottle also went much better with Liz's violet-colored eyes.

Washed.. Arabica. Blend. Roasted. Undermatures... drum roast... huh?
Recently we got a new fully automatic coffee machine for the social room. After 80,000 cups and a few years, the old machine had finally given up the spirit - not least thanks to a lack of care, everyone wants to drink, but wants to clean, care, pah, not with us, "always with me the water is all", "always with me the care wants", everyone knows, right? The smart salesman gave a short briefing and then let us take turns sniffing coffee beans in a free bag - all of them fell for Ohs and Ahs with enthusiastic "delicious, aromatic, great" shouts. I've always found that coffee smells better than it tastes. And while the salesman was talking shop with enthusiasm about acidity, strength, roasting, Libera, and see headline (yawn...I'm no Barrista after all), I digressed in thoughts to perfumes with coffee scent. Because I would like to have a coffee scent in my collection, but so far everybody was too sweet, too muckefuckig, too many flowers, but stop! …. Café Tonka, I've had a bottle for a long time, it was quite good, or not?

At home I searched in the vegetable compartment of the fridge for my bottling, I had almost forgotten the scent. And with 6 degrees in the morning a warm coffee smell comes just in time. So they'll hang up the next morning.

Café Tonka starts with finest coffee, aromatic and strong, pepper brizzelt a little in the nose. Nothing blooms here, only the finest mocha clouds surround me. After a short while, I am sweetened with tonka bean, stronger and with more sweetness than I remembered and loved. A shot of creamy cream in it would have pleased me better. But thanks to Parfumo I get along better with sweetness in fragrances and I find that this smell smells at least like coffee, of some coffee fragrances I could not say that. Sillage and shelf life are in the middle range, due to the sweetness I would recommend the cool autumn times to wear.

Mr. Pluto comes out of the bathroom drunk asleep, "it already smells of coffee in the hallway, has the machine overflowed? Well, the scent seems authentic. But I keep looking, there must be something like a cafe crema - unsweetened and perhaps with a dash of cognac or rum? Does anyone have any tips?

Sunday morning in Germany,
09:00 at the gym. Mrs. Pluto pedals to warm up on her bike, observes her long known comrades-in-arms, different scents are in the air. A pungent smell of sweat from the muscle-packed pump during weight lifting, I'm eagerly waiting to see if the 70's sports panty in orange fluorescent paint will burst. Si Armani wobbles intensively from the left to me from the pretty Poserin. She's always perfectly styled, never sweats (well, if you only sit on the devices with a mobile phone, that's not possible). She's just trying to shoot a Selfie with a kissing mouth on the sloping plane, support her with one hand, take pictures with the other, no, she slips. I smile and wonder if I should offer my help. A mid-seventies rudder with Parkinson's before me, I have great respect for how ambitious and diligent he completes his sports program. And he always smells a little like Tabac, beautiful. The smell of maggia flows in from the open window and the filters of the nearby spice mill do not function properly either. And a delicate cloud of cheese foot lies over all the scents, or rather: smells... But then a scent rises into my nose, wonderful, I'm standing in the deepest forest, I know that. That's how Mr. Pluto smells sometimes. But he's not here. One of the four badminton players who just passed by? Must be, though most young guys don't like those "grandpa" scents.

Later I look into the collection of Mr. Pluto, ah, there he is, this inconspicuous flacon Masculine 2 Black Instant, quickly put on a sprayer. So similar was the scent in the studio, maybe it was?
Woody, dark green, moist wood and moss, deep spicy, a hint of citrus, shaving soap.... These are my impressions, all united in a chypre-like Fougérè, which I would like to inhale formally. It smells like a noble classic, distinguished, never obtrusive but audible. A man must smell exactly the same, because I forgive a lot... (well, not everything...) Sillage and durability are in the middle range, at Mr. Pluto the smell holds quite well. The bottle is unspectacular, but functional. Masculine 2 is wearable at any time of the year and at any occasion, at least I feel it is an all-rounder. Even for women's wives? Sure I do. The price? Ridiculous, you could think, phew, soo cheap, that can't be anything, please don't let it deter you. The scent deserves a chance.

Thanks Precious for introducing us, again you hit the nerve :o)!

Camaheu - hard to put into words
There's a couple in our town, I guess they're in their mid-eighties, though they look younger. She's tall and slim, he's small and fat. You always see them together, shopping, going for a walk and occasionally eating in the village pub. People have known each other for many years, greet each other, talk to each other about the weather, the prices, the shift to the right in Germany, the worries and much more. The two are always happy, always have something to laugh about and good mood that infects. I don't know their names, it's not so important, we appreciate each other, it's more important. Now she's alone, I rarely see her anymore. A few months ago, while walking, he wanted to go home quickly, "I'm funny". He collapsed dead outside the front door, a big shock to her. When I saw her, all she did was wave at me, and she moved on quickly. Now I met her at the stop, now she could talk about it. After more than 60 years of marriage, something is torn from the heart that no longer heals. It's good that he didn't need nursing and had to go to the home, that comforts her, he never wanted that. And while I stood next to her and held her hand, she noticed my scent, "but it smells fine, beautiful perfume...and this autumn, Lorenz seems so great..." Slowly she can enjoy something again, which in turn pleased me.

The scent was Camaheu, which I sneaked around for a long time. Now he is mine, I have already worn him several times and can't really tie him up. Camaheu is not citric, despite the ingredients of bergamot and grapefruit and exudes warm freshness (is that possible? Yes). I am surrounded by a creamy soapy spice with a slightly bitter note of ivy, rose flashes out, sweetened with vanilla and immediately becomes more bitter again with the oak moss. In Camaheu head, heart and base almost appear in one, play with each other and all this seems filigree and harmonious to me. And enchanting. And kind of comforting. Hm, I can't describe him any better than that.

The Sillage is strong at the beginning, levelled off after half an hour to an average, the shelf life is quite good, about 8 hours. The glass flacon is of high quality and simple, quite heavy, therefore more difficult to handle. It would be nice if the manufacturers didn't just offer 100 ml canisters. Spring and autumn are the wearing times of Camaheu, according to the classification unisex, but is he really suitable for guys? I don't mean, oh, just test.

Thanks Aggeliki for the little one, it took more than 2 years until he moved in.
