Light Blue Intense; A touch of sunlight and a whiff of the blue waves!

I could close my eyes and imagine myself on a small boat in the open sea, in the middle of a hot sunny afternoon wearing a light-coloured Hawaiian shirt and brown boat shoes, walking on the wooden deck. All ears, the sound of the waves, and the squeaky deck; creak, creak, creak...

In terms of the scent, a long-lasting aquatic/marine fragrance with a punch of grapefruit and mandarin orange in the opening is how I would describe this one. Light Blue Intense is a refreshing sip of fresh citrus juice in the heat of the boiling summer sunlight.

This D&G fragrance, just like many other fresh fragrances, won’t offer you a very decent projection. However, to my nose it seems more than enough and this sort of sillage is somewhat a part of its character. I wouldn’t say it’s bold at all and in my opinion it represents a quiet yet charismatic young gentleman with a calm personality.

A take on Paco Rabanne’s 1 Million
This fragrance is a take on Paco Rabanne’s 1 Million, though the fact that it’s a rather linear one is unmistakble.

In the beginning, the mandarin orange note is easy to recognise, and you’ll get that citrucy smell, alongside with the sweetness from the other notes. Cinnamon as well, has got its touch in the dry down stage and it’s one of the main characters in this one.

Halloween Man projects well within the first 2-3 hours, and it lasts on my skin for around 7-8 hours. Needless to say that that the sweetness is well-balanced and it won’t offend people around you (that is, of course, if you don’t overspray); so, it’s a compliment getter too.

And finally, Halloween Man is not a unique fragrance, and it’s not original either; but at the end of the day, I’d say it’s a safe fragrance. That being said, it still offers a great value for the price.

Classy oriental scent, with some sort of a creamy vibe to it.

Is it an artistic scent of Oud? Definitely not. Versace Oud Noir is a mass-appealing attemp to attract your attention, but eventually, it wouldn’t even peak the curiosity of the oud freaks. Apart from that, it’s not a bad fragrance at all.

Oud Noir is something to add to your collection for the colder nights of the year, when you’re going with your formal outfit, in a rather cold autumn night.

If only it performed better and lasted longer!

The overload of cinnamon and fruity notes!

Azzaro Wanted by Night; Juvenile, playful and careless. The citrucy notes in the opening have no dominance whatsoever over the cinnamon explosion; but that’s of no importance! They are present and add a spark of freshness to the scent.

Wanted by Night is way too sweet, by nature, and that is a let down at times; especially if you don’t like it too sweet. After the opening stage is gradually gone, however, I start to get on well with this one. It has a good performance and it lasts long enough, but it’s definitely not something I would wear on a daily basis. I give it a chance every now and then, and that keeps me satisfied. Daily usage is a big NO on my side.

Azzaro did a good job designing Wanted by Night’s bottle. Rebellious, dynamic and possibly shady. On the contrary, it would’ve been nicer tho, if the bottle (perhaps the material used) was a tad more premium looking.

Brecourt Subversif: Classy, Mysterious, Alluring.

A charismatic dandy man in a fine-taylored black suit, crimson scarf, and a dark cosy overcoat, which as well carries the heavy scent of the recently-smoked tobacco, having a solitary walk on a crisp winter eve with the faint moonlight gently lighting up the dark sky.

The scent goes towards the sweeter direction in the dry down stage, but deep down there is still something bleak to it. The whole progression of the scent reminds me of the evolution of Doriran Gray, in Wilde’s literary masterpiece. Through the passage of time, the fruity opening gives its place to the heavier scents emitted from cinnamon and tobacco. And it’s right there where the scent ends; right where Dorian Gray ends. Dark, Full of Mystery, and Bleak...
