The fragrance that divides opinion
Today I would like to share my experiences with "Erba Pura | XerJoff" with you.

It all started in spring 2021, when this fragrance reached me for the first time as a bottling.
There was talk of a fruit cocktail or tropical vacation fragrance, and my expectations soared.

The fragrance opens with a good load of synthetic fruit (tropical fruit cocktail) and is complemented by the tangy components of lemon/bergamot.
The vanilla and musk are noticeably present in the background right from the start and give the fragrance a beautifully creamy undertone.
At the beginning, the fragrance can be overwhelming, as it is extremely potent and quite synthetic.
This subsides within the first hour and the fragrance unfolds its wonderful fruity, creamy, slightly powdery scent aura.
The progression is relatively linear and consistently easy to like in the air.

The perfomance is brute and you should definitely use the fragrance sparingly, otherwise it becomes too penetrating or can quickly become annoying in the environment. (less is really more here)

I see the fragrance in spring or on cooler summer days. For midsummer it is mmn too dense and becomes too sultry on my skin.

I have only received positive feedback on this fragrance and I think that it is consistently well received outside of the Parfumo Bubble (in discreet doses).

For me, "Erba Pura | XerJoff" is a spring-like, good-mood fragrance that I rarely reach for but still love to wear.

From the OG to the Dupe
Today I would like to share my experiences with "Liam / ليام | Lattafa / لطافة" with you
Some time ago I owned the "Gris Charnel (Eau de Parfum) | bdk Parfums" as a full bottle, but we never got 100% warm with each other...
The iris was consistently too present and powdery for me, which is why it had to leave my collection.

After I learned that Lattafa was releasing another one that was supposed to be similar to "Gris Charnel (Eau de Parfum) | bdk Parfums", I was skeptical.

But this initial skepticism disappeared after testing the "Liam / ليام | Lattafa / لطافة" several times, which is why it was finally allowed to move in with me (also because of the price).

The fragrance begins with a full load of spicy cardamom with a slightly dry black tea note. The fig is noticeable in the background, which reminds me (as is so often the case with figs) of creamy coconut. The creamy fig harmonizes perfectly with the spicy/dry components of the cardamom tea and forms a great counterpoint.
The powdery, subtle iris in combination with the wonderful creamy vanilla-sandalwood base give the fragrance a great elegance and make it absolutely unisex.

Due to the stronger cardamom note, I see it more as a dupe to the extrait.

Therefore, I find the "Liam / ليام | Lattafa / لطافة" more wearable as a man than the "Gris Charnel (Eau de Parfum) | bdk Parfums".

The H/S are fine, considering the unbeatable price, I find them sufficient.
Unfortunately, I often get scent-blind with "Liam / ليام | Lattafa / لطافة".

For me, this is absolutely the better alternative, as it is spicier and the powderiness of the original, which I find annoying, has been minimized.

I am now a very big fan of this DNA, as it strikes a balance between creamy elegance, a certain cleanliness and a mysterious dark aura at the same time.
Simply an absolute all-rounder that can always be worn.

The attitude to life: "La Dolce Vita"
After a few years in the perfume world and countless statements, it's time to reflect my experience of fragrances in reviews and contribute a further contribution to the community. For a long time, I struggled to decide which fragrance would be worthy of my first review. Many great fragrances popped into my head, which left significant imprints in the form of traces in the sand.
Will it be my teenage perfume debut?
Which, in addition to youthful light-heartedness, the first great love or the first pain, was characterized by the unrequited feelings of the other person in the form of lovesickness?
No, my first review should convey the relentless feeling of late summer that I felt on the day of discovery, which is why I would like to take you on a short trip to Rome.
Late fall had arrived, the sun was smiling, even if it was slowly running out of summer's energy. The thermometer showed a pleasant 25 degrees, the leaves on the trees were starting to turn warm shades of brown - "La Dolce Vita is screaming from deep inside me"
The goal was clear, in addition to the well-known tourist hotspots, a great vacation memory had to be created urgently. I love to accompany my beautiful memories with great fragrances. This still gives me wonderful flashbacks today when I sniff the fragrances in the perfume cabinet.
The world of the niche was relatively unexplored at that time, because apart from a few familiar names, I was a newcomer to the niche.
It was therefore clear that my fragrance horizons in the Ancient City of Splendor needed to be broadened.
"So don't take too long, head down" - I found one of the best-known perfumeries, entered and there they were, lined up in the perfectly positioned spotlights.

The reflection of the beautiful bottle shape, this elegant lid, the velvety soft colors - Xerjoff.
The nice lady sprayed me with the usual suspects, my unexplored nose was completely overwhelmed by the different notes and impressions.

When the lady picked up the white bottle with the golden contents, it was all over me:
A concentrated charge of tangy lemon, embedded in green, spicy lavender, ensnared by a light honey note. The delicately clean scent of jasmine blossom, which has been perfectly incorporated into powdery soft cashmere, gives this fragrance a lightness that for me perfectly reflects the Italian attitude to life "La Dolce Vita".

In the background, the light, dry pipe tobacco complements the overall work of art in harmony with the ever-present honey. Together, the individual components create a fine, elegant sweetness that gives the wearer a wonderfully mystical fragrance aura.
In the base, this masterpiece once again unfolds its full splendor of fine, creamy vanilla tobacco that really makes everyone melt. In my mind, a perfect image emerges that resembles a warm, comforting embrace of a loved one.

This wonderful harmony of the tangy lightness of lemon and yasmine, complemented by the contrast of fine bee honey, worked into light vanilla tobacco is phenomenal.

The warm rays of sunshine on my skin, the cafés by the roadside and the delicately floral honey-vanilla-tobacco aura enveloped me throughout my journey through the Roman city.

An absolute feel-good fragrance that brings light to my heart even in the darkest times.

My memories of this Italian attitude to life are evoked every time I wear the fragrance, catapulting me inexorably to the southern region of Lazio.
