Exquisite Fruity 'Oriental'
'Madawi Gold' is far and away my favorite 2024 pick up. If I weren't incessantly afflicted with olfactory boredom, I would probably wear it multiple times a week.
SCENT: It opens with an intoxicating explosion of sweet fruitiness. The initial sweetness never fully subsides but is balanced in the mid and base with tonka and vanilla. While this might sound overwhelming, it somehow never crosses the threshold into a sickening mess (e.g. Erba Pura - which is most assuredly DOESN'T resemble). Honestly, one of the best frags I've put my nose on in the past few years. Dominique Ropion does it again.
LONGEVITY: Sticks to my skin like white on rice and doesn't let go for approximately 10 hours. Amazing longevity.
SILLAGE: This projects and leaves a trail with the best of them. I generally limit my sprays to no more than 3 or 4.
BOTTLE: I find the bottle to be overdecorative. Those of you not hamstrung by a need for subtlety may appreciate the saucy presentation.
VALUE FOR MONEY: I purchased this for around $200 USD. I would pull the trigger on it again in a heartbeat. Tremendous value IMO.
