Rojaddict

The fragrances in this range from The Spirit of Dubai are certainly not a bargain - but you do get a lot in return. The bottle of "The Spirit of Dubai - Abjar | Nabeel" is an absolute eye-catcher and probably responsible for a good part of the price. Fortunately, so is the fragrance... I have tested most of the high-end series and this one convinces me the most. It opens with oriental, spicy and leathery notes, followed by slightly more seductive notes. Just today I received another compliment from a colleague... The sillage is very good, without being overpowering, and the longevity is almost unrivaled. A real pearl in any collection!

KSA opens with a broadside: After a handful of manure (I lack the expertise for the origin) comes a good load of fruit. I think I can recognize raspberry and plum.
At this point, I would like to make a small remark due to frequent outcries: Whoever cannot stand cows or other stables, is probably poaching a priori in the wrong territory, or ?
In any case, the - from whichever animal - not at all violent dung throwing is of tolerably short duration, also the strong fruit chord fades away quite fast.
After that, the scent levels out to something I had to use my olfactory memory (if it exists) for a while: For me, it's a kind of mixture of #Fruity Aoud and #Un Amore Eterno, of which I love the latter in particular. Maybe after all these years the originality is leaving the master a little bit - die-hard fans may forgive me the blasphemy.
After a few hours, this Fruity Amore harmony gives way to a slightly spicy, unobtrusive chocolate-vanilla sweetness, which I can still perceive as nose-flattering even after nine hours.
Meanwhile a rarity from the Golf collection, KSA from this series is my favourite so far.

House XJ did not let itself go with the packing, but that is surely also the minimum with the called price. In this respect, the bottle is a little disappointing, which in its simplicity has class somewhere, but in my case it comes with a slightly crooked stopper, so that you have to find the right twist to make it look good.

But now to the scent as such. Fortunately, one can apply it frugally, which puts the opulent price into perspective. For close combat ;-) it is probably not suitable for the first one or two hours due to its intensity: My testing girlfriend turned up her nose at first - which she had also done with fetish, so I don't pay too much attention to it.
During the first few minutes, you can certainly not deny a slowly fading stable smell, but it will disappear after half an hour at the most. Otherwise, something like a Proustian madeleine awaits me, as I am intoxicated by a scent similar to fresh sawdust. These notes, reminiscent of - with respect - carpentry, last for a long time - so if you don't like this much wood, you are definitely out of place here.
A development can be observed in the further course of the wine in that only beguiling wood and resin notes caress you with gradually decreasing intensity. Wow!

For me an absolute jewel in my collection!

With this fragrance XJ weiß Gott has set standards! It seduces me (lastingly) from the first moment on and is probably the tastiest amber creation I was allowed to sniff. I am also thankful that the ylang-ylang I loved was so "built in" here that you can perceive it and still (?) wear it.

Now that I have experienced a number of Xerjoff fragrances, I dare to make a comparison: with Roja. Both will have to put up with that - not least they play in the same price league, and they can't defend themselves either. Well, perhaps indirectly, if I call vehement supporters of one or the other to the scene ...

In short: In contrast to Roja perfumes, whose first impression can be deceptive and in which different notes emerge and take effect in the course of the hours, I cannot observe such a development in any of the XJ fragrances known to me. Maybe I'm too much of a layman for that, and more experienced scent noses will wrinkle them over my statement.

Anyway, I love this fragrance anyway (or even more so), because it delights me constantly for a whole day.

Beguiling from the first sprayer. Coffee, cocoa, spices, incense ... Lasts easily 8 hours, during which I cannot notice any development. But don't worry, the whole thing seems so harmonious that I like to sniff it into myself all day long.
