Meh, nothing special

Gao opens up with a challenging smell but in this case, it's not barnyard or cheesey oud. I get a pretty unpleasant medicinal type scent, which I can only assume is the saffron. As it dries down, it gets a lot better - smoother and woody. There's still a remaining medicinal or camphor type of smell.

Longevity was good - got about 7 hours out of it but the projection was only moderate for me. Gao didn't really wow me. Out of the few in the Oud Stars collection I've tried, I only really liked Luxor.

No where to hide with this

This is by far the worst Xerjoff I've smell yet. all I can get is mechanical oil & burned petroleum rubber. long lasting but for people who love dark, Safran boom at the beginning but then turn into something metal and burned robber.

anyone who use this can't hide him self in the crowd, this is very strong and long lasting but with awful smell unfortunately.

I can't think for any occasion this fits into unless if you want to push people away from you to enjoy you coffee :)

Dark but awful

This reminds me of Gucci Guilty Absolute which I can handle. I'm not liking this at all. It's certainly not unisex, no woman wants to smell like this. It last a long time but unfortunately the barn yard smell is just too much.
I can't find a single occasion where I would wear this. The worst of the oud stars line in my opinion.

There are fragrances that make you wonder when the best time to wear them is for an extensive daily test. Should I really wear it to the office or would I rather stay in the home office? Do I take public transport or prefer to drive my own car? Do I go with it at all among people or am I then better alone?

Gao is definitely such a chaotic candidate and long I have thought in advance, to which occasion you could wear the at all and who or whether you want to meet someone.
Reason for this is this quite strict, hard and raw opening with herbaceous-spicy notes and an oud combination, which does not seem animalic-stallig, but like a mixture of bitter medicine and industrial glue.

A good hour later, Gao becomes a few degrees smoother and you somehow feel a little relieved when wearing it. Possibly then the soft saffron comes through more intensively, although it should be in front. Nevertheless, still remains a discomfort, because despite some interesting nuances in the direction of noble wood and neat oud Gao is somehow suspect to me.

I have the fragrance incidentally sprayed on cellulose paper and find him after a good 24 hours soft enough to carry out relatively easily. In contrast, he is already long gone on the skin and dries down unfortunately not so smooth.

PS: For testing I had then chosen a day off as a precaution, but have also been on the road with public transport and not with my car. Looked askance or away has no one, yet I had a queasy feeling. From my sample I had taken only one or two drops, which radiated enough and long. Accordingly, I had no desire to add.
No - this is not mine, although I am generally not averse to oud fragrances and Gao certainly has its qualities.

Glue sniffers will be thrilled

As the title suggests, the delinquent first gets the full load of glue scent. If you are back to your senses after a few minutes and can pick yourself up from the floor, you will be "rewarded" by an intensive leather scent, like shoes freshly polished with shoe polish. After about an hour, an increasingly intense floral note is added, which smells great. Therefore I would rather classify Gao as feminine. However, I can't imagine that women would expect the initial scent. By the way, the calyx note lasts quite long and only disappears when a hint of the oriental "monster buzzer" (woody/peppery) comes through at the end. I already know the scent from the Hayat, but there it is much stronger and clearer. Here the flowery scent and something slightly musty still have an effect. Gao is just too controversial for me to wear it.
