Xerjoff - Golden dallah
Golden Dallah

Do you drink coffee and how much do you like it?
Do you love it so much that you can't spend a single morning without it, or do you drink it out of habit, or maybe just to "survive" a tiring and sleepless working day? I drink it because I love it,
and Golden Dallah is a perfume that reminded me of mocha coffee. I often used to feel it on the streets of Istanbul while walking tired of exploring new sights, because I certainly wouldn't explore this madness of the city to the end even in a few more lifetimes.

Golden Dallah belongs to the Coffee Break line of Xerjoff inspired by the intriguing history of the international coffee trade, and coffee comes from the Arabic word "qahwah", which means power, and Golden Dallah is such a powerful perfume that it is held by that Arabic coffee as the main note. Once upon a time, bitter coffee was used for spiritual intoxication, and that's what Golden Dallah can offer us, so it wasn't that difficult for me to fall in love with this type of perfume where I feel the ideal balance with spices and coffee.

I think I would eat some hazelnuts while I take coffe break
I received the other day a couple samples of Xerjoff fragances and one of them is this interesting Golden Dallah.
Im not good at all into figuring out notes blindly but this time I wanted to try. I hit 3 sprays on my hand and let my nose speak. Oh well I couldnt tell.......something citric.....something sweet.....oh wait.....wait.....that......i can recognise......cant be......I eat it everyday......is it hazelnut?it HAS TO be hazelnut!!!!So I went fast to Parfumo's website and checked if at least my nose was neither broken nor COVID affected.......MAN!!! it´s hazelnut!!!!!!! I felt so proud....... (sic) actually it is so clear that afterall I guess a child could tell.
Anyways..... besides that hazelnut I can smell coffe but not toasted seeds or morning coffe, to me smells like coffe with milk.....you know.....cafe au leit....and sugar or something sweet. Following these notes I took a look at % of men and women owning this perfume and it is clearly more loved by men than women wich actually schocked me.
After 10-15min of wearing the fragance, I can explain why man would prefer this perfume rather than women. Frankincense says HI! together with amber. Frankincense reminds me kinda of Amouage Interlude but obviously softer.....I also can tell a clear Amber note just like in Daniel Josier Ambre Tabac.
After a while Frankincense is there, coffe, amber and hazelnut is toned down.
It is clearly a gourmand fragance with that little incense detail that would make it lean on the masculine side but I think I would also fit a woman taste.
Seems to project well and it is lasting quite a while.

Oriental Dark Green Coffee Beans.
Golden Dallah is the second perfume from the Coffee Break collection that I have tried. It is similar to Golden Moka, but I would say it is Golden Moka's evening version. Both perfumes contain coffee, more specifically green coffee beans. Both have a macho side, more suitable for men, in my opinion. While Golden Moka is sunny, due to the aldehydes and citrus fruits, Golden Dallah is deep, dark, spiced with all sorts of Middle Eastern spices. It is exotic, warm, like a shelf from a stall in a spice bazaar that also sells some rose soap. It has not a hint of sweetness, not even in the dry down. It is an example of oud done right, complex, with a lot of different facets. If I had to choose, I would go with Golden Moka, because I like the citrus-aldehyde-green coffee combination much more, and I find it a much more interesting perfume.

Nu are nici strop de dulceață, nici măcar in dry down.

Rich essence of a deep parfum
You know that waxy smell? That thick, almost creamy scent like natural wax? Or the smell of natural oils — like argan, jojoba…?
Now, add just a touch of cinnamon (just a bit, or it gets meh), a dash of incense, some stunning woody notes — and boom, here we have Golden Dallah.
Guys, I’m honestly tearing up — this has the deep, rich essence I look for in a fragrance.
It’s warm and soothing. Intense, yet subtle. Dark, seductive, mysterious.
Everything is so perfectly balanced. I was a bit worried because of all the wildly controverse reviews, but I went for it anyway… and wow.
I’m wearing it right now — I can’t even imagine how gorgeous this will be in the winter!!!

The golden blend
Mesmerizing Oriental spicy centered around a beautiful Arabian coffee accord. The perfume opens with a finely tuned exotic spice accord where as I sense Cardamon, nutmeg and cinnamon notes, uplifting and lively. Taking hold of you just before moving to a balsamic ambery heart accentuated with amber, Oud and incense. The perfume settles on a nutty sweet sensual base of Tonka, cocoa and hazelnut creating and alluring scent profile . Masculine leaning with moderate sillage and projection and very good longevity. Absolutely superb like many in the Xerjoff line of Oriental perfumery with very high quality ingredients.

A slightly smoky, yet oriental spicy-sweet Fall fragrance, balanced by a warm and sweet earthy-woody base. Realistic take on Arabian coffee.

Best of Coffe Break line. Quietly strong. Sweetly spicy. That's how I feel and love it.

The spices used aren't your typical spices. They are more astringent. Base is formed by woods (no oud) and amber. No nuts, coco or coffee.

Reminds me Oriental Latte, that my local coffee shop serves. Spicy, sweet and dark coffee scent, delicious!

The average, a bit boring dark mix of Coffee+Cocoa+somewhat unrealistic mild spices, no oud. Worn many times during the years, always same.

Wears a lot softer than others from the coffee line. Distinctively more feminine too. Still, very beautiful fragrance.

Smells like fall in a bottle. Like a pumpkin spiced latte. Creamy but deep, not too much coffee. Cinnamon and nutmeg from beginning to end

My first Xerjoff and now I am sold on this brand. I now own 8 and want more. My Fall signature and I love it. Will need a new bottle soon.

Dominated by spices, with some tonka/almond. Clean oud in drydown. Good for layering as a base, but jury still out if this profile any good.
