My Signature Scent for Early Autumn
For a long time, Nomade Eau de Parfum was the only fragrance I owned - and it was just a miniature for dabbing... Because I had no idea about perfumes back then, I ordered a full-size bottle of Nomade Absolu de Parfum as soon as the miniature was empty - and I was shocked - it smells completely different! Much deeper, more exciting…! Could the miniature have been a counterfeit, or had so much aroma evaporated over time due to dabbing?

What I didn't understand back then: The absolu adds a certain kick to the already very interesting and pleasant base DNA of Nomade, a kick I didn't even realize I was looking for. It has more spice, more depth, the Mirabelle is juicier and more noticeable.

For me, this means I tend to wear it more in the cooler months, but I also enjoy it on a spring evening out. It is mature and fascinating without being dusty, and it continues to accompany me in my collection, even though I now have a much better understanding…

Maybe I have a coffee problem...
I was extremely excited to finally test this fragrance, as I am widely known in my circle of friends and acquaintances as a coffee junkie. I was prepared for the lavender and have no issues with it, but...
...the coffee just does not come through for me, no matter how hard I try.

Maybe it has to do with my skin chemistry, or maybe I just drink too much coffee to even perceive this note distinctly anymore; I’m a bit puzzled (and somewhat disappointed).

Otherwise, we have a completely acceptable gourmand for daily wear. Not too overpowering, pleasantly sweet, although the vanilla in the base does come across as a bit synthetic for my taste, but nothing to despair over.

I will keep searching, perhaps leaning a bit more towards the masculine side, wishing for more bean, more roast.

The Irony...
...I finally found a sunscreen that provides reliable protection, feels pleasant, and is unscented. And what do I miss in the summer? The smell of sunscreen! This perfume comes just at the right time. It smells exactly like the sunscreens from my childhood and instantly puts me in a vacation mood.

And for the price, I can easily overlook the fact that you first have to get through a rather alcoholic note that quickly fades, that the bottle won't win any design awards, and that it lasts at most half a day. For a few euros, I can easily reapply or switch to another scent in the evening anyway.

To be honest, I was also curious about the Nivea Sun scent for the same reason, but honestly, I don't see any reason to test it now. This little bottle of summer does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

Oh, did I just...
...perhaps buy "La Vie Est Belle" again? I thought to myself, slightly startled after admittedly a rather spontaneous impulse buy (it was 50% off, don’t judge me...). It must be due to the quite dominant sweetness that particularly knocked me off my feet in the top note.
I do appreciate the well-known crowd-pleaser from Lancôme in principle, but I just don’t want to wear it anymore because you really smell it everywhere. Thus, I was very relieved that this Flowerbomb flanker quickly transformed into a pleasantly mild-sweet-vanilla fruit compote and eventually hinted at the orchid.
Therefore, this fragrance is for me a very pleasantly gourmand everyday scent that doesn’t overwhelm and doesn’t give me headaches. A not-so-monster-like longevity comes with it, but that’s okay for me because I like to switch to another fragrance in the evening anyway if needed.

Doesn't work for me
Maybe I didn't understand this scent properly or my skin chemistry just doesn't work with it, but I can't pick up anything floral and fresh, instead I only smell the wood, which makes it too musty for a spring fragrance. I certainly acknowledge that this is a quality product and the longevity is definitely there, but unfortunately, it just doesn't excite me.
