Smokey blood orange
I'm very happy that, on my skin at least, I *don't* get lemon cake or anything overly dessert-like, but rather a slightly smoky blood orange which turns into a warm lingering vanilla and keeps on being very interesting due to the herbs and flower notes. It's gourmand yet very elegant and quite addictive. Great longevity and moderate sillage. Some months after it has been opened it gets even better. Beautiful all-year-round perfume.
Smell like a rose baby!
This is a freshly cut pink rose, green leaves surrounding the petals, juice still oozing from the stem. A rose in its entirety. Smooth, fresh, ever slightly green, almost damph earth-like (the artichoke?). I find it ethereal in a way... romantic.
Its very delicate without losing warmth. It does not really project but becomes a skin scent that will make you smell as if you have been born out of a rose yourself, lol. Very, very gorgeous perfume.
Cozy goodness
Ah, an immediate love! This one is lactonic, creamy and slightly woody. In the drydown she turns into a white chocolate milk on me. Very edible, but not sticky or syrupy sweet. Would be lovely in winter, but I actually tested this on a warm humid day and didn't feel like it was cloying whatsoever. Kept sniffing myself.
Already being a skin scent is does not project far but stays fairly noticable on my skin for at least 6 hours.
I would say this is the gourmand sister of Santal Blanc by van Cleef & Arpels, which is equally creamy but feels more luxurious and expensive, like high-end tanning lotion.
