Baklava meets … playdoh?
This smells like Greek baklava. The scent stays close to the skin as well. It’s really nice and I can see why people are comparing it to strawberry mochi but tbh it doesn’t smell the same. It also smells like playdoh as well. To be honest, I’m not sure how to feel about this scent. When I first smelled it I thought it was nice but after the dry down…I’m confused.

My perfect tea scent
I’m able to smell all the notes listed in this. It’s light and refreshing but somehow also has a slight powdery musky vibe. It’s sweet as well. Smells a slightly soapy sweet osmanthus pomelo tea. There’s also a cold feeling and faint glass like scent which I’m assuming is the porcelain. This is so nice. I don’t think I’ve ever smelled a tea scent like this. I love it so so much. When this was first released, I had so many assumptions on what this would smell like based on tea scents I’ve smelled in the past and boy was I wrong. This is honestly my perfect tea scent. Not too sweet, not too bitter, not too citrusy. Perfect.

Cocoa Powder & Roses
When I first got this fragrance a year ago, it smelled like rose petals dipped in a chocolate chestnut spread. The scent also changed a lot and wasn’t super sweet. I went back and forth on if I liked it or not, and did not understand the hype to be honest. Don’t get me wrong, I thought it was a nice scent, but I really didn’t think it was worth the price point. Now, exactly 13 months later while revisiting this scent, the fragrance has become sweeter and more powdery. And the projection is strong as well. It smells like a sweet cocoa powder/hot chocolate powder with hints of chestnut in the background. Make no mistake, it didn’t suddenly transform into a gourmand, however I like it a lot more now. The rose petal scent is still there but instead of being at the forefront it’s now in the background. Overall, I think this fragrance is worth it. It smells amazing and the bottle is extremely beautiful.

So in summary:
First impression —> Rose petals dipped in chocolate chestnut spread.
Final impression —> Sweet chocolate / cocoa powder with a subtle rose/chestnut flavoring.

A change of heart
When I first bought this, which was last year, it smelled like an extremely sweet matcha latte. I could not understand the matcha meditation comparisons. Now, after letting the fragrance sit for some months, it smells exactly like matcha meditation. So I think people who are getting that vibe/smell from this, probably didn’t get the newest batch or they let it sit for awhile, or their is something different about their skin chemistry from mine. Either way, I am so in love with this scent now. It’s comforting in the best way.

Tea, wet flowers
This scent changes with each sniff. Sometimes it smells like a Cameroonian tea I once had with some sort of almost honey like sweetener. Sometimes it smells like wet flowers with a subtle sweetness. Other times it smells like a masculine cologne version of beach walk with a heavy water like smell. I find myself in a weird hate love relationship with this fragrance. The name of it is perfect because to me it smells the best on rainy gloomy days.
