Merry Christmas
Isis, yes I bought it because of the name. SS is ISIS and those are my initials. Not only do the gentlemen of creation think they are the loving God, but women also often consider themselves goddesses, and there are more and more of them, as newer very successful mainstream perfume names like xy-Goddess prove.
Isis has been sitting in my closet since then, waiting to be worn from time to time.

Today is just the right day for the scent.
The first Christmas day after a tough time full of changes, pressure, and stress at work, and full of attempts to bring calm and peace to the surroundings.
On Christmas Eve, "one" (=human) meets with family to spend it together in harmony. A test of social competence.
Even the goddess Isis has a family, married to Osiris, who expects her to be with them at Christmas and to cooperate. For God created man in His image, which means we at least look like God. Whether we will become a true human like God is decided only now.
Even, and especially as a future goddess, it is not always easy to maintain peace when everyone has wishes and expectations, leading to conflicts due to differing desires. So far, she has gladly "sacrificed" herself to strengthen family unity. She was the newly added sister-in-law, daughter-in-law of the beloved son, brother, brother-in-law. The last one to join always has a harder time being accepted by the family. Especially when it is God's family.
Perhaps as a goddess she stands somewhat above things, yet she is still right in the middle of the action.
So, Christmas Eve with the family, superficial harmony, everything goes as usual. This goes on until someone starts blaming one or more, ideally all others, and tries to shift the blame and redirect the emotions, even negative ones, onto themselves. Volker Pispers once said: "When you know who the enemy is, the day has structure." The mood is gone and "Mom" is quite dismayed, as she has once again tried her hardest to please everyone, and it hasn't worked out again, she thinks...
Another Christmas gathering is over and everyone goes home. Everything as usual? No, not this time. Something has shifted. Someone other than the usual black sheep of the family has made themselves the scapegoat, giving Isis a chance to be accepted into the family.

Today is quiet, regardless of what unrest was present yesterday and last week in the world. Time stands still for a moment.

A good day for Isis. Agonist, what was that again? Antagonist is the opponent. Does that mean agonist is player? Yes, that’s how I understand it.
Today, right after spraying, Isis smelled like coffee. I haven't noticed that before and was surprised. The impression doesn't last long.
The scent is not easy to describe. A sweet-floral mixture, somewhat heavy and slightly smoky and bitter. Ylang-Ylang is not dominant but finely integrated, giving a dark floral and interesting nuance to the scent. The vanilla notes are also not just sweet, but spiced like marshmallows with labdanum, nutmeg, and pepper.
Isis is therefore also gourmand, but due to the rougher notes, it doesn't necessarily smell edible.

So very harmonious and clearly categorizable, Isis does not smell that way, although that is absolutely how it is with Christmas and family. Sweet and pleasing, and underneath it simmers a bit. Not dominant, but still noticeable, perceivable, and flickering up again and again.
Ultimately, it doesn't matter what is played and pretended, the family loves each other, even if it is repressed, and in doubt, in tougher crisis times, they cooperate as well. Sometimes the right sacrifice from the beloved person at the right time works wonders to break old structures and initiate change for the black sheep.

More will come next Christmas. Until then, I will wear Isis with its pleasing, warm, vanilla base, which eventually fades after hours.

Jasmine - there's really no need to rewrite this and Francis doesn't either
Recently, I was in the city and I smelled this fragrance on a lady. Memorable, yet simple jasmine, beautifully bright and intense.
Then the search began. I tested so many and asked saleswomen so often.
But no fragrance came anywhere near the jasmine scent I had smelled.
Even at home, I sprayed a few rarely used jasmine fragrances again, hoping that it might have slipped through in my collection or that I could have something similar. But no... no Fragonard Jasmine was even remotely similar.
At Galeria, a saleswoman sprayed the Gucci Flora jasmine scent on me and said it could only be that one, but no, that one wasn’t similar either and I didn’t want anything else.
I looked around a bit more, but then I gave up the search.

Since I am absolutely infatuated with the J'adore fragrances and have a tray of them in my bedroom, and I always wear one of them when I want to smell seductive but not too heavily covered in perfume, I naturally ordered the new J'adore L'Or this week.

The price is quite steep, I realized, but I was lucky to get it significantly cheaper with a voucher. But for a blind purchase, it was still too expensive, so I wanted to test it in the city today. However, the tester at Galeria was gone, stolen, said the saleswoman. So I went to Müller and sprayed it there.
And before anyone complains, "buy online and test in-store," I have also bought many perfumes at Müller, but there it was 56 euros more expensive than online. That’s a lot of money for me.

I have to say that I had just sprayed Gucci Rush at home shortly before and it was quite dominant on my wrist, but I found a spot and sprayed it in my hair as well. What can I say, after about a minute I realized that this was the jasmine scent I had been unsuccessfully searching for. So the fragrance actually only smells like jasmine and every saleswoman should bring that one out when someone asks for it. The orange blossom is always present with Mr. Kurkdjian, but here it’s only there to emphasize the jasmine. The rose might give a minimal soapy quality, but I don’t smell it explicitly. It also smells stronger than the Rush, which I also wore. After showering, without washing my hair, I only smell the gold scent. And tomorrow, when I pick up the package from the post.

To emphasize its own scent, the J'adore L'Or is far too strong and potent, and thus not suitable as a skin scent like the much more delicate J'adore EDP, but it is perfect for going out and making an impression.
In my opinion, it is worth the price because there is nothing comparable and also little so intense that smells so beautifully and fresh like jasmine.

As life goes, it ultimately always plays into my hands. By that, I don’t mean my collection, which interests me less, but my husband.

Yes, are you all out of your minds???
I ordered it blind, of course, and wanted to send it back to France without opening it. Unbelievable! Because I read the comments and statements here.

It also came in a beautiful white packaging with a ribbon, and included was the cotton sample bag with the golden Guerlain print. Absolutely gorgeous and elegant to look at.

Fortunately, I wisely had my name engraved as a service when ordering from the homepage. Sonja
Oh yes, it took a while, but then I remembered.

And I really can't send it back. What luck. I had already made that decision when ordering.

It smells absolutely heavenly, divine, just as Shalimar is supposed to smell. I love this old-fashioned petroleum note of bergamot, and here it’s the iris, and I smell the iris right from the start. I smell vanilla, and it is very noble, fine in combination with iris and rose, a typical note in powdery fragrances. Yes, call it old-fashioned if you like, I call it classic and elegant.
The scent feels modern to me nonetheless. I am already an old, elegant lady, but I feel young with this fragrance and with the fragrance itself. And I’m really not that old. This one truly honors a goddess, in contrast to all the goddess fragrances that have come out. My queen Shalimar, with whom it all began.

The Millesime Iris, I believe, plays in the same league as the Creed Vanilla. Ah, I am really in love now.
The sillage will settle down. I only sprayed once on my décolletage and also on my wrist, and I smell it strongly. But it’s a type of fragrance that makes me dream, and so I might wear it more for myself, even before going to sleep. But definitely in intimate moments.
Let’s see what my husband says about it. ;-) Whether he says anything at all...

Portable Fragrance
When I received the sample, I thought that the scent was different from the usual mainstream at the moment. Here the statements said something else.
Yes, it is initially sweet. I smell cherry first, and it's quite pleasant. The fragrance then increasingly becomes darker, amber-like, and woody without being dry. It is also slightly powdery without being dusty.
Since I got it, I wear it more often to work. I find it accompanies me well throughout the day and does not lose intensity.
At the bakery, a young saleswoman recently complimented me on having a really wonderful perfume. She liked it a lot. That made me happy. I had applied the perfume half an hour earlier. I usually spray it once or twice.

Okay, the bottle is a matter of taste. The designers did not outdo themselves, but it symbolically represents femininity. The triangle in this shape stands for the feminine principle, and it is well chosen when you look at a woman's womb. And the scent is also well chosen to express femininity.
The fragrance is warm, soft, sweet-cuddly, and dark, and fits very well with the current season.
It resembles no scent I know.
I will refill it.

Sorry, it's wonderful...
Yes, it smells like Lady Million and also like Olympea, and it is sweet, but delicious, intense, and multi-layered. At first, it is almost overwhelming. So please just spray it once, maybe on your forearms, and let it develop.
I like the sweet, intense aroma. I also smell some lilac. At first, I thought of violets, but then I saw an advertisement for the fragrance, and there was white lilac depicted. So it should be lilac. I consciously write "should be" because it is not a real lilac extract, but something that smells like lilac.
Even in a more distant sillage, it shows fresh laundry notes alongside the sweet floral aroma. And even hours later, a captivating aroma still radiates.

Well, at first, I wasn't that enthusiastic, and I wouldn't have even tested the fragrance. Because I receive the newsletter from V&R, and I didn't like the advertisement for the scent that much. Also, the bottle doesn't look that pretty to me, so it wasn't immediately interesting to me.
However, this week I am still on sick leave - hello, Corona - and I had a lot of time and also shopped online.
Among other things, I bought amethyst jewelry in a lovely purple with rose gold plating. A ring and a matching necklace. Then I saw the Good Fortune perfume on eBay and placed a bid. Not enough, and only then did I realize that the fragrance is almost outrageously expensive and only available at Douglas.
Not my thing, so I looked in the souk and found it for a good price and a very nice contact, as I think. Thank you for that!
As intense as it is, I don't need much.
Moving on to the color purple. I am also currently wearing a rose gold-plated lotus flower as a pendant around my neck. This is a symbol of wisdom, my name, and it also symbolizes the crown chakra, our connection to God. I mention this here because purple is also the color of the crown chakra, and Corona coincidentally means crown for me this week.
These are wonderful connections that led me to the fragrance.
I just wonder why the lady from the advertisement for the fragrance sample order from our perfume forum placed a dense purple cloth over the crown chakra. She rather "sealed" it and also wears striking amethyst jewelry.
Personally, I would rely more on my wisdom chakra, my intuition, and my connection to God for prophecy than on a crystal ball. But these are all just symbols. And for the use of our intuition, that's where we are all heading in the future. Someone who has predicted many things correctly told me that.
Now I have also acquired Olympea Legend because it is said to be similar to Good Fortune. And that has truly enchanted me.
I am happy about these coincidences and will now wear and enjoy the fragrance. Sweet, lush, and present. Last week, I could hardly smell anything at all, or it was very distorted, but everything is good again.
The idea of the bottle design is quite funny, and the little Buddha from my photo symbolizes the crown chakra with its flame on its head, which is why I included "her," a female version of Avalokitesvara, Tara, or Quan Yin in the photo. "The mistress who looks at the world with compassion."

Very nice, and everything will be fine, my dears. Thank you for reading my ramblings.
