A few years ago, I went to Parfümerie Kobberger in Frankfurt with a small perfume sample when it was still located on the Zeil. It was no longer possible to tell which brand it was on the perfume bottle. However, the ingredients were still legible. I liked the scent so much and I really wanted to know what it was that excited me so much. I met the store owner and gave him my sample. He said "triple violet, there are only 2 men's fragrances, but I think it's Aigner "in leather man", let me get it". It was indeed the fragrance, I was totally amazed by the salesman's ability to deduce the right perfume from the information given. But Parfümerie Kobberger is also a really good perfumery, it has to be said. I eagerly bought a bottle straight away and was over the moon.
Aigner's "in leather man" is a fresh leather scent, which is a rare fragrance group. It is similar to fragrances such as Bespoke or John Sterling. Green apple plays the leading role in the top note. A delicious fresh apple, joined by grapefruit and pineapple. It doesn't smell musty at all, but pure. The patchouli in the heart note provides stability and skilfully leads into the base with leather and amber, which is accompanied by very fine vanilla vibes. It really is a great combination.
I was a little irritated some time ago when I discovered "in leather man" at a ridiculously low price at Rossmann. I realized that the time had come to buy up the remaining stock. I did so with a smile and a tear in my eye. Because it's a shame that this fragrance is no longer on the market. It means that there is one less really balanced fragrance. I still have three bottles left. The only question is how long.

Incense plays first fiddle in an orchestra full of harmony. Both in the top note and in the base, a rare composition. But completely successful! The beginning sparks longing and leads into a heart of benzoin and labdanum, which ground the fragrance and give it a mystical quality. The ambroxan in combination with the incense in the base makes the fragrance soft, sensual and seductive. A fragrance that is more likely to appeal to men who are emotionally strong and keen to experiment. I also like the vanilla note at the end of the fragrance, so I would rather wear Sable Nuit by Armani in the fall and winter time.
If you want to give your loved ones a great gift for Christmas, this fragrance is a good choice. Bravo!

After Michael Kors (finally) ended the Extreme series, it was high time to take a new direction. A few months ago, the new fragrance for men arrived: Michael Kors pour Homme! Delicious! This fragrance is simply delicious and makes you forget the unimpressive, even boring fragrances of the Extreme series. The highlight: sage and seawater in the heart note are the guarantee for success and understatement, which give this fragrance its unique selling point. Freshness from the bergamot paired with sensuality from the sage and seawater on a solid base of ambergris and vetiver. An excellent combination of a balanced fragrance. And yes, it is aimed at a broad audience. However, it is convincing across the board and is particularly suitable for the office. I asked for it for Christmas and I already know that I'm going to get it. I can hardly wait!

My mother put together another Christmas package for me, and in it I found a sample of Hackett Bespoke Eau de Parfum. I really hadn't expected this, as I hadn't heard of the fragrance before, neither in the turquoise store nor in other perfumeries. So my expectations were also very subdued. Quite wrongly! Bespoke is a very aromatic leather fragrance that I really like. The opening top note is filled with rum, which goes really well with the vetiver and cypress in the heart note. I really like it and it makes me want more. The fragrance has a very optimistic beginning and then leads into an ambery base of leather and tobacco. This makes the fragrance very masculine without being overpowering. On the contrary: this sensual component makes the fragrance really seductive. A real discovery for me, because aromatic leather fragrances are very rare. I am so impressed that I am considering buying the fragrance for the summer, because that is where I would best place it. Overall, a totally positive appearance with the typical British understatement, an excellent job by Christian Provenzano. The fragrance is perfect for the man who successfully goes his own way. And the price-performance ratio is also right. So what more could you want? Super!

Elysium pour Homme by Roja Parfums is a wonderful citrusy, feel-good fragrance for everyday use. The start with grapefruit and lemon is very refreshing and makes you want more. The heart of blackcurrant, lily of the valley and apple makes you feel optimistic and finds a sensual, beguiling end in its base of musk and ambergris. I had Elysium bottled at my favorite perfumery because Roja doesn't provide ready-made fragrance samples. I then applied it to my skin at home and I am thrilled. All the ingredients harmonize very well with each other, it is very balanced. A perfect dailies fragrance for the office, but also good for dating. Its velvety and erotic qualities are remarkable. It adheres very well to the skin and radiates well. The only thing to criticize is the price, but if you want to give yourself a good gift for Christmas, Elysium is a very good choice. Great!
