The quick-change artist
Either there's something wrong with me or this fragrance is the true quick-change artist...
When you read all the reviews here, you expect a very masculine and cool fragrance that smells clean or, as mentioned below, like aftershave. I didn't experience or feel any of that at all.
On my skin, it developed beautifully into a warm, gentle fragrance. There was a lot of saffron and warmth, really a lot of warmth. I was also recently allowed to test Cappadocia by Memo, where saffron was really cool for me in the opening, but here I had the warmth and security.
Have you seen the comic drawings with the people who have been exposed to radioactivity and their whole bodies are glowing and shining? I couldn't shake the feeling that I was becoming one of those people. This fragrance surrounded me with its warmth and didn't let go for several hours! As if my skin was radiating sunshine.
After a while, sweetness and spice came closer and saffron moved to the back, but was still present. I could not identify lavender. The whole composition was not penetrating or too much, but it was constantly perceptible. The whole process was very harmonious and simply fascinated me!
For me, fragrances usually last very poorly or not at all, even the strongest ones, but this fragrance lasted well into the afternoon. That is a top performance and happens very rarely.
I was honestly looking for a stronger perfume that I could use for layering because nothing lasts on me, but the scent surprised and impressed me so much that I want to wear it alone.
And maybe a side note to the ladies who don't dare - this fragrance didn't seem masculine or manly to me at all, you can wear it very well as a woman, test it on your skin and not on paper. If the chemistry is right, this fragrance is truly magical! And don't be afraid of oud, everything is just perfectly coordinated here.

Unexpected twist
I am honestly surprised that the fragrance is not rated so highly.
I don't need to say anything about the packaging and bottle - it's classy, well-made and looks great in any collection.
I don't agree with the statement that the fragrance develops in a linear fashion. For me, the opening was very fresh and for some reason I had ginger notes, although it is not listed at all. This is probably due to the combination of cedarwood and grapefruit...
I was more surprised by the drydown. From a fresh, slightly scratchy and sparkling scent, the perfume has developed in a round, flattering and soft direction. You definitely have the solar notes. It reminded me a lot of Soleil Blanc by Tom Ford - very soft, slightly powdery and somehow floral. In the direction of ylang-ylang. Although it's not listed either.
Maybe this fragrance only develops like this on me and differently on others, but for me it's a mystery and I'm glad to own it! Even if my opinion is in the minority. For me it is a perfect summer fragrance!

When I first spray it on, I get a lot of saffron. But for some reason I have cool silver in my head and not the warm notes. The saffron is very dominant in the opening, but not intrusive, almost fresh I would say.
Then the fragrance becomes warmer, myrrh comes more to the fore. The woody notes also come into their own. I smell very little rose. The fragrance becomes rounder and sweeter, in drydown it becomes almost chocolaty for me.
The fragrance lasts about 4-5 hours on me and becomes very subtle but persistent towards the end. However, this should not be judged - for me, even the strongest fragrances only last 5-6 hours at best, while the others last 8-10 hours.
In any case, it is a very interesting fragrance that radiates coziness and serenity, especially now in the rainy and stormy weather, and somehow gives a bit of a home feeling.

First of all, of course, I have to say something about the bottle! This rich Barbie-pink color and the soft-touch surface, simply unique and cool! This will definitely be the most eye-catching bottle in my collection.
This was a blind buy and the scent is exactly how I imagined it would be.
The opening notes are bergamot, passion fruit and peach, very bright and youthful, fruity and fresh at the same time.
Heart notes. You can smell super delicious caramel, definitely a sweetness, but in moderation, not too much. It's not a sticky, overpowering sweetness. Rounded off with floral components such as jasmine and geranium.
And in the base, you have patchouli, vanilla, musk and amber, typical of Arabian fragrances.
This fragrance is fun, flirtatious and very feminine. I think you can wear it both during the day and in the evening to go out. It's floral and fruity, creamy sweet and yet fresh. Overall very round and well blended.

A hot afternoon in the shade by the sea
For me, this is the summer when I was a little girl sitting on a rock by the sea in a damp swimsuit. This is cold, refreshing, almost menthol-smelling salt. Beautiful, the first Amouge scent that I liked.
