Thanks to a sharing, I received a sample of the fragrance, was completely unbiased, and just participated because the scent notes sounded so delicious.

The sample arrived, I sprayed it on my wrist and w t f -.- (unfortunately, I can't insert a fitting emoji here ;) )

I usually really don't have a sensitive nose and can find something to appreciate in almost any fragrance, but here I really had to spray another scent over it, and even then, this strange smell still came through.

From the scent notes, I can't pick out anything at all; to me, it just smells exactly like an old Maggi bottle that has been open in Grandma's spice cabinet for 10 years.

I can smell a tiny bit of waffle scent, but not a delicious, fresh, warm waffle; rather, it's an old, strange waffle mixed with weird spices (Maggi bottle) that is already hard and dried out.

Well, I've participated in several sharings by now, and there has never been a scent that I absolutely couldn't stand - but as they say, there's always a first time for everything.

Earlier, I was looking for a lip balm in my makeup drawer, wanted to apply it, and thought wow, that stinks - it has to go (it was a watermelon-flavored lip balm :)).

Then I thought it can't be that bad, and somehow the scent seemed familiar - until I remembered that I had also put the sample of this fragrance in the drawer and that it was making my whole drawer smell.
As a result, the sample has unfortunately ended up in the trash now; as I said, normally I can wear almost any fragrance or at least layer it with something else if I don't like it. You can quickly use up a 3ml sample, but this one just didn't work for me at all :/

I stumbled upon this fragrance while I was actually looking for another one.
Since I wasn't familiar with the brand and the bottle looked so cute, I eventually followed the link and thought, oh, this one sounds even better in terms of the scent notes than the fragrance I was originally searching for.

For me, Avant l'Orage is an almost perfect dupe for “This is her” by Zadig & Voltaire.
And I love that one!
It smells cozy, warm, creamy - for me, it’s simply a feel-good scent.
“This is her” was once compared by a user to the milk bath that Cleopatra bathed in.
Since then, I have been searching for a fragrance that embodies exactly that for me.

Avant l'Orage, as well as This is her, come quite close but are still not quite perfect.

Even though I’m happy to have added the fragrance to my collection, I am a bit disappointed with the longevity, and even though I was prepared for a similarity to “This is her,” I did expect a certain independence.
In the dry down, they differ slightly from each other, but I really only notice that when I wear both on my hands and alternate sniffing them.

So the search for my perfect “Cleopatra milk bath” fragrance continues.
On my watchlist, which might embody this scent for me, are among others “Santal Blanc” by Van Cleef & Arpels or “Musk Therapy” by Initio.

Maybe I will indeed find this perfect “creamy coziness” soon.

I ordered the fragrance blind because I had heard good things in some YouTube videos, and the scent notes all appealed to me. Based on the bottle, I expected a fragrance like "Addict" by Dior. A scent that doesn't go unnoticed. A scent that lingers long after the party night is over.

Unfortunately, in my opinion, this is not the case with "Good Girl." The scent is not bad, but the content does not match the striking, provocative bottle. It reminds me of the saying "It doesn't matter if the perfume is called Boss, if you look like Hugo" :) Only in this case, the perfume looks like Boss but smells like Hugo..

In my opinion, it's quite nice for everyday wear, but definitely not strong enough for a longer party night.

I also have the fragrance twin from La Rive, which I actually like a bit better.

I can only agree with the comment from the user Manson. I would immediately buy any fragrance that smells similar.

Paradise Passion was also one of my first fragrances back then. I just bought it because, as a teenager, I was more attracted to the bottle, although I still really like these colors today, which also reflect the content of the bottle.

The scent is very exotic at first and then becomes beautifully warm, caressingly vanilla. Back then, I had no idea about fragrance notes, top-heart and base notes. But when I look at the fragrance pyramid today, it doesn't surprise me that I liked the scent so much. Vanilla, sandalwood, and musk - that combination gets me almost every time.

I still remember that I couldn't find the fragrance in any drugstore in 2008, even though it was only released in 2005. However, after some internet browsing, I managed to snag 2 bottles of 30ml each on Amazon (or was it eBay?). I was so happy about that. Today, I can only find it on eBay at outrageous prices, and from countries where I wouldn't be so sure if you really get original goods.

Such a shame!

Since I have only tested Chloé Eau de Parfum and Lovestory so far and found both too floral, I was all the more looking forward to "Nomade." The commercial in the desert really appealed to me, and because of the name, I expected a somewhat more oriental, less floral scent.

When I placed an online order, I was able to choose Nomade as a sample, and I was very curious.
Today I sprayed it on and was unfortunately very disappointed. I find it far too masculine, and it reminds me of a scent that my stepfather always wears, which I absolutely cannot stand (stepfather and the scent ;).

Maybe it’s the oak moss that bothers me, as I actually like all the other fragrance components of the base note very much.
